Would you attempt this by yourself? I can't get anything accomplished at hone ever because ds always needs to be carried. When I wear him on the front I can hardly see around him or reach my short little arms in front of me. Let alone bend over.
I've watched lots of youtube videos, but it seems so likely I'd drop ds while attempting the craziness. How does one master this skill?
I didn't do it with a wrap, but I could/can back carry him in the mei tai or Ergo. Ideally, you'd get an in-person lesson or two on how to manage him, or try it "by yourself" with DH spotting the first couple times. But really, if you're sitting in the middle of the bed, he won't have far to fall.

I also practiced on the bed. I put the laptop on the bed too, and watched videos as I practiced. Don't get discouraged it gets easier the more you do it. it is especially hard to get a good ruck when you are just starting. I scratched my daughter the first time we tried it and I felt awful.

Thanks for the website ojo
I think my first attempt was more or less a success. No dropped babies and lot's of laughs (apparently being awkwardly swung around to my back is fun times!). Sure ds had slid halfway down my back the end of the ordeal, but we can work on that!
