We got a "progress report" for L yesterday. Everything was good, but they mentioned that she has more mobility when she's wearing disposables vs CD. She's just about 4 months, and doesn't roll or crawl or actually have any real mobility yet.
So first of all, I think she's worn disposables maybe 3 times total there (that I know of...). Second of all, I just feel like saying, "she's fine, we're not switching to disposables, get over it." But am I just being hasty and defensive?
I think she would only notice this when crawling, which you said she isn't doing it. It's true, CDs do seem affect crawling (in my experience), but that isn't a permanent thing, they overcome that.

We aren't CD anymore, but I did notice when we were that when he was lying on his back (which is all he did at that point) he was able to pull his legs much further up when wearing a disposable than a CD. Perhaps they mean something similar. We used prefolds and they are bulkier than CD so it makes sense that there will be at least some difference in mobility. Does that make a difference in short & long run? Not according to nearly everyone who CDs!
Even if there is a difference, babies were CDed for a million years before disposables were invented and as far as I can tell, they walked and got around just fine.
Total crap! DS has been on the move constantly since he was about four months.
I always feel bad when I see people have issues with their daycare provider and CDs. Ours have had no problems at all and they all love his fluffy butt.

It might make a difference for a few days when the kid is just figuring out how to do something (maybe???), but I really doubt that it's a significant difference...I kind of wish DD's CDs would slow her down!
I CDed my daughter and I run a home daycare -- some kids wore sposies and some wore CDs. There is a SLIGHT difference in mobility depending on the type of CD used. I find that thinner CDs and sposies were easier for crawling and rolling. But it isn't like the CDs are holding any kid back.
I would just ignore and give her diaper free time at home when she works on a new milestone.
I'm intrigued by this naked time. She is thisclose to rolling over and she does enjoy being naked... I would feel better about it if we didn't have wall-to-wall carpeting ;-)
Not total crap, but not worth worrying about. DD first rolled over during naked time. But that wasn't going to stop me from using CDs, and she has still met all her milestones.
don't worry about it. your LO will figure it out soon enough and it's certainly not any kind of "delay" even if there's a little bit of a struggle at first for them to figure it out.
