Ha ha. Still! One of the babies can answer who the president is! My kid barely even says mama let alone Obama! Surely my kind is now doomed to work at McDonalds as his eventual career.
What's annoying is that I hang out with kids IRL that are clearly talking, while Owen is more of a point-and-grunt kind of fellow. JUST SAY WHAT YOU WANT.

Yeah, my BMB is VERY VERY active. They created the Drinking While Parenting board over here.
Yeah, at least none of the kids I know IRL are talking (they all walk though).
You know before I was a parent I SWORE I would not be one of those parents to compare my kid to others, but it apparently I have found it impossible not to do so.
Eh, training a kid to say Obama is like getting them to say that a cow says moo (which, btw, dd always yells "neigh" for). They all do things on their own schedule yadda, yadda, yadda....
Really? You seem so thoughtful and with it in your responses, as if you really think through what's best for you and your child. That means more to me than whether your child knows his multiplication tables at 6 months of age.

I feel the same way on mine. I flammably noted before that it seems like the least educated on my BMB have the most "advanced" babies and it irritates me. People who have one month olds rolling around and batting at crap while my daughter just prefers to give an occasional smile so we can more easily ignore the screaming
Rolling at one month isn't going to give them some sort of edge in life. Having educated parents probably will.
Kari- you can totally train your baby to say Obama. That's absurd. FTR, kids are crazy. Sometimes DS yells UhOh at the dog for no reason, other times he sees a lion and roars. Who knows what they know when?

Ha ha. I do actually like my BMB. The ladies are generally nice and they don't post specific posts to brag or anything. But I spend the majority of my time over here I promise!
I was telling this to my daycare teacher and she said not to worry becuase DS is clearly a genius who won't mimic words because he is above that lol. She told me he only talks when he has something important to say. I told her to keep it coming

Ha! If it makes you feel any better, J still only says Mama and Dada. He tries to say blue and zucchini (which is hilarious, by the way!), but not really talking at all. Just like that walking stuff, it'll happens when it happens. No worries mama!
