One of the 4th graders at one of the schools I go to is Beckahannan. WUT. Everyone calls her Becca, and she was sitting beside me at lunch today, and I saw her ID, and my eyes fell out.

i knew someone named star. i always secretly thought that was badass.
I know a lot of Estrellas, but that's pretty common in PR.
Then again, Stella is totally acceptable, yes?
star is acceptable too, just uncommon (i checked the SSA, it's either in the 900s or above 1000). the star i knew was made fun of for being named star.
I worked with a family recently where the kids were named two of the boys were names Armani and Physique (the rest of names weren't great either). And a few days ago I had a family with twin girls, one had a reasonable name, the other was named "Reality."

I'm betting all the girls named Brees probably live in Louisiana. I was dying at Moo. some of my favorites that I've seen lately Roynita Troylacia Troi Thailund Tweetie Charmin Ledasha (unfortunately it was spelled this way instead of Le-a.) All of these are names of females that I've encountered in the last 6 months.

Is that supposed to be pronounced like 'charming' or like the stuff you wipe your ass with? Because, wtf?
She pronounced it like the toilet paper when she came to pick up her cake. I'm wondering if it was supposed to be a spin off of Charmaine....
