I cramped for most of the first tri and part of the second with M. I'm generally on the "better safe than sorry" side and call my OB, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. I think mine was things stretching.
While I agree that they are likely nothing to worry about, I'd still call the doctor. That, coupled with the spotting you've been having, could warrant and extra u/s to make sure everything is ok. My guess is that it's fine, and it will just be another opportunity to see babyBlushing.

I had cramps and spotting throughout the first tri and well into the second. As it turns out, I had a cervical polyp, which is pretty common in pregnancy. Once that was gone, the cramping and spotting went away.

Are the cramps more of a constant ache or are they coming and going at regular intervals? The latter would worry me more than the former.
Let us know what the doctor says (I know you will). I had a lot of cramping over a two week period, just a little further along than you. It was all cool. Your digestive system is also doing some weird shit, plus your uterus growing, plus RLP. Basically your lower torso is a hot mess, so it is probably nothing.
