Is there an average amount of time for how long it takes for things to get back on track?
Based on prior calculations, my period should be this week, and I am two days late. I don't know if that's where I am in the cycle, though. I POAS last week, which should have been 9 DPO.
Some women take months to get back to "normal" and some women have typical cycles right away. It seems like it's different for everyone.
Are you temping, checking CM, or using OPKs? What makes you think you are 9 dpo? If you aren't sure when you O'd (or if you O'd at all), then you might not really be "late". Your ovulation date and luteal phase are not likely to be exactly the same right after BCP than they were in the past, and it's perfectly normal for your ovulation date to change from cycle to cycle anyway. If you are sure about your O date, test again. 9 dpo is not all that reliable for testing.
Ditto raeyn. My cycle regulated a month after I stopped BCP, but I've seen other women posting about how long it took. I think it can vary depending on how long you were on it, as well. It seems like the more years you're on, the longer it takes, but it all depends on your body.
I still wonder if I'm actually ovulating still. Got off bcp in Dec/Jan. Opks and temp spikes say I ovulate but I wonder if my bodygears up to and doesn't.
