I was at a party with an OB a few days ago and told him I was going to have one drink when I'm on my cruise in January (17-18 weeks) and he said I could have one a day. I probably won't but after I hit 32 weeks I'll probably have wine from time to time.
I never did until this one (that I recall) & then just tasting a couple new beers DH bought this past month. I'll have a few sips of wine at Christmas too. I drank (plenty) until pink for all of them. Don't think it did anything...I'm not claiming my kids are normal but I think that's genetics & not environment
I didn't with my first, but I will have a glass of wine or a beer every week or so with this PG. In theory, anyway. Right now alcohol doesn't taste quite right (from the sips I've had) and I'm waiting for that to pass.

I drank a little bit throughout both pregnancies. It tasted bad to me though, so it wasn't much. I did have a half a glass of sangria the night before M was born.
I didn't in the 1st tri. Had some sips in the 2nd. And in the 3rd I usually had a beer with our weekly pizza dinner. I didn't give up caffeine either. I had one cup a day.

Sips in the first tri, then a half-glass of wine maybe twice a month until the end. I think I drank one full glass around 30weeks and it gave me such awful heartburn that I wasn't that interested anymore afterwards.
That sounds like a hell of a BMB. I have sips. DH is a homebrewer and asked me to taste his latest batch of beer minutes after I told him I was pregnant. I probably do tastes 4 out of 7 days a weeks but i just sip. My taste buds are actually horribly changed and alcohol doesnt taste good. I can taste the alcohol taste very prominantly so i dont drink it. I used to love alcohol. I dont feel comfortable having more just because I dont want the what if feeling if something was wrong with the baby but thats my personal opinion of my own pregnancy. I could care less if you drank a glass of wine and certainly wouldnt give you crap for it. I have had friends who drank entire glasses of wine. If it works for them than go for it.
My husband home brews too, and his first response when I told him I was pregnant as "oh shit I have 10 gallons of beer!" He also made a beer that was "done" on my due date, which he named "Push Beer."
dh made a "baby whine, barley wine" last time that had to sit for 7 months. Unfortunately, it was so strong that I didn't want any until months after dd was born.
This was my favorite mommy martyr quote from the thread...
"If you're too selfish now to give up even tiny sips of alcohol during pregnancy you're in for a mind fluck when you realize what you're going to have to sacrifice in life in general as a parent."
Sadly, booze tastes like shit to me right now so I have had nothing. Although I may try white wine per CS's suggestion!
I was just going to edit my post to say that white wine is treating me a little better than red right now, ha. Unfortunately my mom killed the bottle while she was here the other night (it was a glass or two down from being used for cooking already) so I might have to find a boxed wine that will keep for a while if I want to have a half to full glass a week.
I still haven't had more than maybe 1/4 glass at a time so far though.

I had about 1/4 a glass of wine at about six weeks. Our friend had a party and opened a really nice, expensive red wine -- I honestly didn't know when, if ever, I would get a chance to try a wine that nice so I had a few sips.
I had some champagne during the toast at a wedding at 4 months, along with some sips of DH's wine. In the latter half of the third tri, I probably had a glass every 1-2 weeks or so. The kid was pretty much done baking by that point.
I would be fine with an occasional 1/2 - 1 glass at this point (3rd tri), but it makes H uncomfortable, so I skip it. It'd probably give me heartburn anyway. :-(
I didn't/don't, but I'm also not a big drinker when I'm not pregnant so it's no big sacrifice for me.
Ditto.
Tritto.
I did have 4 cans of Coke in one day when I found out there was only 35 mg of caffeine in each one, well under the 200 mg guideline for pregnant women. Then I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. :-( So I don't have much room to judge.

I decided not to, but I get worried so easily at anything pregnancy related. I'm even one who has skipped out on lunch meat. In fact more than alcohol, I'm looking forward to this specific sandwich I haven't had since getting pregnant.
But if others want the occaisional drink it isn't for me to judge. As long as they aren't getting sloshed I don't think it is a big deal.
I didn't drink any alcohol with either pregnancy but I'm not a big drinker so it wasn't a big deal. While I'm generally ok with very light drinking in late second and third tri and do side eye first tri drinking.
My dad's mom had 10 kids. She had a drink every night throughout every pregnancy. All 10 kids are healthy even to this day. The youngest is in his 40's.
With that said - if I ever end up pregnant, I don't think I'll drink. Probably sips to taste things, but I tend to get anxious about health related things and I'd be too worried that I'd be the one rare case where something went wrong. Logically I don't have a problem with people doing it, but I think personally I won't. But who knows, I would never say never.

Gawd, I'm on the August 13 BMB too. I am going to a wedding this weekend and plan on taking a sip during the toast and having a glass of wine sit in front of me. When we're up and dancing, I'll probably switch to club soda with a lime so that I can actually drink some of it.
I didn't drink at all until my due date last pregnancy. I had a small glass of wine-1.5oz to be exact-DH measured it out with a shot glass. I'm hoping to be more laid back about it this time around.
I had two glasses of champagne (on different nights) in my third tri. I wouldn't have anything that early. I got a cranberry and sprite with lime to throw people off.
I had a glass a wine maybe once a month in the 2nd and 3rd trimester. All is well. I'll probably do something like that for this pregnancy. I have sips occasionally.
