What an odd room, lol. I have no idea the cost, but if there is no other master bath, I'd consider keeping it and just building a wall. Is there a shower in there too?
I don't know costs but from what I can see: All flooring would need to be ripped out and replaced Tub and tile removed Wall patched and leveled out, or take the tiled portion down to studs and re-drywall Take the bumpout out of the ceiling, re drywall. Remove the towel bars cap off all plumbing Repaint Remove the vanity Take the plumbing down into the wall / floor, cap off Remove any tile / mirrors on the wall Patch
The sink honestly wouldn't bother me especially if there is no master bath, it would be a nice place to get ready, wash my face, brush teeth, etc while someone else is showering / otherwise occupying the bathroom
I would also consider leaving the ceiling bump out and adding lighting to make it a reading nook but it looks like there is a shower head hanging down.

Well, the removal is pretty cheap. It'll be the "make it pretty" afterwards that costs a bunch.
Seriously, though - it looks like you'd need at least a plumber, electrician, drywaller, and flooring guy to fix that. I'd say probably in the realm of $5-10k, depending on COL and what you would want to replace it with.
wow, the tub is SO close to the bed. I do think that something like that would really motivate me to get out of bed in the morning since I wouldn't really have to go far to go set up a bath.
I'm sure it's one of those things that was crazy expensive to put in and will be crazy expensive to pull out.
What other gems would have to be fixed? I doubt that monstrosity is the sole laspe of taste in the entire house.
It kind of is. Everything else is really normal. I have no idea what they're doing with that. The other thing is that the house is listed as a 4 bd 2.5 ba and I'm wondering if this is the second bath. Can you make a room dual purpose and count it twice?
Kinda looks like it was a grandparents suite. I don't think they can consider it a bathroom without a toilet but that might be in the corner.

I have no idea of the cost to take it out. That is truly bizarre, its like a tacky hotel room. It might be cheaper to build a wall then rip all that out.
That is so weird. Why would they do that? Is that the master bedroom? Why would anyone want to live in a hotel room? If it's a guest room or something, I could kind of see why they would do that, still.... bad move! Not sure how much it could cost though, but I am guessing it would be a pretty penny.
