What does he like? My son is into Thomas, so he got several trained themed things. He's also getting some nature books, a couple of board games, and some Thomas pajamas.
Mine is getting (not all from us--some of this is stuff I know grandparents have bought) a Thor hammer and hat, super hero action figures, Legos, a Lego storage table, a backpack, a Spider Man sleeping bag, Uno Moo, books, a DVD, a talking Woody doll, pjs. The Thor hammer and the super hero action figures are his top requests, and he is obsessed with Legos because his older brother is. I think he toy preferences in general are very influenced by DS1, and thus much of what he is getting is not stuff I would have bought my oldest at 3.

I have a daughter, but her big gift this year is Legos. She loved playing with my brother's Legos and is getting bored with her Megablocks. She loves her LeapPad if getting him his own LeapPad is an option. It's her favorite toy.
