I am sooo glad that DD has finally been able to play with kids who are around her age. But I am so tired. I took her to the park around 10.30 this morning and as soon as we got home the neighbour girls (who are 5, so 2 yrs older than DD) wanted to play, so of course I let them, poor DD doesn't have anyone to play with yet really so I enjoy watching her have fun, but I am knackered! They played in the back garden and kept running in and out till I finally said basically it's a nice day we're staying out..(too bad I didn't before the mess) Since DD is so young and can't really keep up with them as much I also keep a closer eye on them, especially when they wanted to play out front. (possible cars/running off/grabbing) hah no way I could've not stood out there. But 6 hours! aahh I'm too nice lol. No, really I'm annoyed that DH couldn't even relieve me for a few minutes to sit down maybe pee! gosh. Also, MIL is always saying she wants time with her blah blah...but she goes out back to lounge and smoke instead of maybe giving me a few mintues to pee/get a drink/whatever. I may sound horrid for saying this but I'm just tired, but yet I am still glad that DD had some fun and has made a little friend. Oh, and to top it all off DD just fell asleep...I can't wake her and gave up trying, I'm sooo tired lol...but it's gonna mean a long night for me (though I really ought to sleep and let DH handle it muahahah) 5.45 is far too late for a nap and too early for bed.
Erm, I think you need to toughen up. A lot. Your neighbor just got 6 hours of free childcare out of you. Not cool. You don't need someone to watch your kid so you can pee, take her with you or bring her inside and teach her to either entertain herself or wait.
Maybe it's a twin thing but ours entertain themselves or eachother while we get things done that need to be done. And no way I'd be providing free childcare unless it was reciprocated.

Usually she has to entertain herself when I'm doing housework or what needs to be done. I feel bad cause she's almist always alone aside from when I'm playing with her. Next time if she's out front and DH wont come watch her ill have to drag her in. I know that will be a battle. The weather has been nice here the past week.
Sometimes people assume you are fine unless you say something. Next time your MIL is over, say, 'Can you watch them for 15 minutes while I pee and grab a glass of water?' Or even 'I need to pee and grab a drink. See you in 15!'
