Besides when they could roll over...
Maisie gets fussy more often than not when I swaddle her in the miracle blanket. She calms right down when I nurse her and falls asleep and stays asleep. She is actually a really good sleeper, but has started breaking out of her swaddle - she slept 8:30-2:30 and when she started fussing again at 6 this morning I went to get her and she was arms out. I don't really want to reswaddle her during the night because she eats and goes back to sleep so easily I don't want to bother her too much. I am also not sure if she would have slept later if she hadn't broken out...
During the day she mostly naps in her swing. The few times I have tried to put her down for naps in her crib unswaddled she just flails around, which is why I think she's not ready? Apparently some of my DH's coworkers think she should be done by 3 months (which she is today)

I have a good, swaddled sleeper too. I put her down at 7, she wakes between 2 and 3 normally attempting to break free. What I do is undo the swaddle, pick her up to nurse, and when I put her back down, I reattach the swaddle. She is out and I never have a problem with this wake>undo swaddle>nurse>back in bed>redo swaddle>baby asleep routine.
And I too, wonder when to stop the swaddle. My girl is 10 weeks, not rolling over.
We swaddled until 5 months and it was way too late. We wish we had ditched it sooner. He was rolling around in it, and would regularly wake up with the flaps of the miracle blanket all over the place. I was so worried they were going to end up around his neck. If she's fussy in the miracle blanket then maybe she's ready to stop. Especially since you don't think re-swaddling her is a good idea. Trust your instincts, if you think it's time to stop swaddling then it probably is.
We weaned DS off of it gradually. If you go cold turkey you're going to get a lot of flailing as you already saw. Try feet out, then one arm, then both arms. Did each step for 3-4 days. We then transitioned to a sleep sack, which keeps him from getting his legs stuck in the slats of the crib. The sleep sack is also a great cue for him that it's time to go to sleep.

I don't really recall when we stopped swaddling but with DD2 it got to the point where she was constantly breaking out of the swaddle. Every time she'd break out, it would wake her up and she'd start screaming until we reswaddled her. We ultimately just went cold turkey and put her down in a sleepsack instead. We had a rough week while she adjusted but after that it was fine.
we stopped just before 5 months, she still liked being swaddled but was kicking out of the miracle blanket which woke her up so we tried an arms only swaddle and she just managed to cover her face with the blanket. So we tried moving to sleep sack and she STTN so we figured we were good to stop swaddling.

At around 3.5 months. My husband was convinced he was going to start rolling any day and said we needed it gone before he rolled. I relented even though I thought he was nuts. We weaned off the swaddle in a week - first one arm out, then got rid of it altogether.
And yeah, my husband was right. Rolled in his sleep for the first time 2 days after ditching the swaddle :/
