Anyone buy any of the leap frog prducts for their kids. My son is three. He know's his ABC's and numbers up to 20 but I want to help him more at home and I have no idea how to do it.
I was thinking of buying him one of the leapfrog pads for christmas. Anyone have anything better or used them before?

DD has a LeapPad and she loves it. There is a letter tracing app that she likes. It's really easy for her to use. It has taken quite a bit of abuse and still works fine. She's learned a little bit from it, but I consider it more entertainment than educational.

The games are educational and a little more in depth than apps. DD only has the Dora game and Mr. Pencil. She didn't have the coordination for Mr. Pencil right when she turned 3, but I should probably pull it out and let her try again. She loves the Dora game. It's similar to the show. She has to follow the map and Dora walks, rides boats, etc. to get where she needs to go. Then there are little mini games along the quest that keep it interesting.
The games are more expensive. Retail is $25 per game. They each have different skills that they work on like math or reading labeled on the games. There is some way to connect the LeapPad to your computer to get a progress report that shows what areas they are excelling in and where they need help. I've never done it. I bought the Tangled and Cars 2 games for her for Christmas.
