I have switched back and forth. But I find it easier to get used to using it on the right side all the time so I don't have to switch when I use another computer.
Also, writing is the only thing I do with my left hand. Throw a ball, brush my teeth, brush my hair, use the mouse, etc is all with my right hand.

This is going to show my age, but I used computers before they had a mouse. And when the mouse came out, they were only really designed right-handed. So I adjusted. I still mouse right-handed.
I just want to be a SS and add something to the conversation! DH is left-handed and he uses his mouse on the right. A co-worker, who's about twice me age, does switch the mouse to the left side for use.

My mouse is on the right. I grew up using the mouse on the left but H is right handed and was not able to adapt to having the mouse on the left. I was able to make the switch easily and I kind of like it. It frees my left hand to take notes while scrolling through something on screen.
Mouse on the left at work and on the right at home. Lefties are usually ambidextrous because we've been forced to conform to doing things right-handed. Like others have mentioned I can switch hands for most tasks except writing.
I use my right hand for the mouse, everything else left. I have been using a computer since I was 4 so I think it was like learning to play the violin. It was taught to me "backwards".

I do a very poor job at passing as ambidextrous. You should see me use a can opener - it's pretty funny looking. I've adapted in all sorts of ways to a right-handed world but look clumsy doing it. But, I am very strongly left-oriented; left-handed, left-legged, left-eyed. You should have seen me in dance class as a kid, I would always start out going left when everyone else was going right. My teacher would put me on the side where I wouldn't bump into anyone when I did this.
My mouse is currently on the right. In the past it has been on the left and I have switched the function of the mouse buttons, this really messes people up.
I think I adapted to the right side, because computers with mouses came out when I was in grade school. The mouse was on the right side and we couldn't move it (wire wasn't long enough to switch sides), so I just learned that way. Using the mouse with my left hand just feels weird now.
