I'm watching on bbc with Graham Norton doing commentary. For those that don't know him he is Irish, gay and very sarcastic!! He predicted that Turkey would get the 12 points from Azerbaijan - they always do it! And now it's the Turkey votes.... 12 PTA to Azerbaijan? Yes, indeed it was!!
And it's going to be embarrassing soon cos the UK always give Ireland 10/12 points but that isn't always reciprocated by Ireland! And I think this year is one of those years.... Yikes...

It might be on some obscure channel here, but I haven not started looking for it. We enjoyed watching it 2 years ago when the German chick won. I liked her song, too, and thought she deserved it.

I got to watch it from Denmark on! There's a port strike in Oslo, so we had to dock in Gothenburg and take buses up this morning. The Swedish staff on the ship were going crazy, and I felt bad when I heard their boss reprimanding them later. It wouldn't be as much fun without the enthusiasm!
Especially since it was a lot of Norwegians, and we sure didn't get a lot of chances to cheer! You've got to love it when people go crazy over 1 point! But when we finally broke 0 the crowd in the theater was very excited!
I did enjoy Spain, Russia (it was actually quite fun), Germany, Ireland (I am embarrassed to say I loved every second of their out of sync freakshow!), and some others.
The Swedish performer looked like she was on downers to me...

Sorry, I was avoiding this thread until it was shown here in Australia. I really do not understand how Sweden won. It was a rather generic, forgettable song.
I was pulling for Denmark and Turkey, and had a soft spot for the Russian Grannies. DH liked the Ukraine.
I think the Swedish song was pretty good (it's actually been a little overplayed around here) but I really didn't like the performance. It just seemed gloomy and kind of "off." Like the move at the end where it looks like they're setting up for the guy to lift her way up in the air, and then nothing really happens.
I didn't understand the love for Serbia either. Unless they were voting for it because they had a dead ringer for Kenny G walking around in the background. Was I the only one who noticed that guy?!
I liked Sweden's entry but not 100+-point-lead kinda like. I thought her 'dancing' was distracting, but, eh. I liked Serbia, Azerbaijan, and Spain. Although I don't normally go for the ballads, I thought they were well done for what they were. I liked Denmark a lot more than the rest of Europe did, apparently, but sorry, I didn't like Norway at all.
I love Jedward's spazztastic out-of-sync freakshow, too, though I liked "Lipstick" a lot more than this year's entry. Them and the "you've never seen before how looks that trumpet" song are pretty much the kind of thing I want to see when I watch Eurovision. And I liked Malta's little foot thing going on.
