Where did you buy your child's mattress? We need to put DD in a twin bed soon. We don't want to spend an arm and a leg because we will probably be putting her in a full bed in our next home (current bedroom is really too small to accommodate larger than a twin)... but I also don't want something that will be too cheap, uncomfortable, lots of off gassing, etc.
I had initially looked into getting one of the $80 ones from Ikea but the reviews all talk about a horrible chemical smell for weeks. Not excited about that possibility.

Costco online and some random furniture warehouse. Make sure you know the exact measurements of the bed frame because they can vary a little bit and you definitely don't want any gaps for kids beds (this is especially true for bunk beds).
Thanks, we do have Costco but they seem to only sell a 2-pack of 2 twins or 1 twin/1 full mattresses and we only need one. This is Costco.com though, maybe they have deals in store? I was in the store this week and didn't see any mattresses on sale.

We just bought DD a memory foam mattress from Costco.com & had it shipped to the door last month and are very happy with it. Sam's Club has regular coil mattresses in-store, you should be able to view some on their website since they do show store inventory unlike Costco.
We decided last night that we are being too cheap about this mattress and need to invest a little more money in something that will last longer. We are looking at a full memory foam mattress from Costco and a couple of others on Amazon. I appreciate the advice!
