The dryer in my condo is a duet sport and has the 'sensing' ability so that it doesn't continue to run if the clothes are dry. It does a pretty good job, but what I'm finding is that the waistband or thicker parts of things are often still a little damp. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to get around this with every load of clothes (not an issue with sheets/towels that dry evenly).
Mine does this too! It's great for towels, sheets, my work clothes normal stuff, but when it comes to heavier stuff like barn clothes..it's never fully dry.
I either just go back and restart it for the shortest sensor dry cycle or I just by-pass the whole thing and do a time dry instead. I know loads like that take about 80ish minutes so I set the timer. Do you have that option?

lol, I don't know if I have that option. I'm still figuring out how it works and haven't had a chance to download the manual yet, which I keep meaning to do. Off to look at he dial.... Thanks!
Our LG had settings for how dry you want it to sense. Also, if just the waistbands were damp, I'd put them away as long as they were hanging clothes. Otherwise you're over drying everything else and wearing it out.
My dryer as a sensor but allows me to set for how dry I want something. Sort of a degree of doneness. A rare- medium or well done kind of setting.
I try to dry "like weights", jeans or DS's hoodies together, but sometimes I have to pull, fold or hang the dry parts of the load and re-start for the stuff that didn't get fully dry. Sometimes I hand stuff to finish drying; my w/d are in the basement and I have room to do that.
