What is on his Christmas list? My son wanted a big drum set, something golf related and that was all he told us.
I have picked up a batman imaginext cave, the Who Shook Hook game, inline skates and that's it. His birthday is the following month so I am stumped.
He is not really into technology though he does have a Leap Pad, uses my Ipad and we have an xbox kinect. He is not so much into playing toys as is -- like his favorite game is to get his brother's baby little people tractor and find something he can tie to the back of it and play "tow truck" lol. He also loves to be outside, but we already have most of the sports equipment I can think of.
Who Shook Hook is tons of fun. Just a tip, we doubled the bands on themselves to make it less wobbly. It took us a couple rounds to figure that out and DS got a little frustrated.
DS asked for a flying airplane, dollhouse people, Lego, and a ceiling fan for the living room. I've since convinced him that Santa doesn't do wiring.
I found a foam glider on amazon. He's getting Playmobil dollhouse furniture/people, a Lego car set to build 5 cars, a couple little Lego sets (figure w/ vehicle), Operation and the Busy Town board game.

DS asked Santa for the imaginext eagle castle. He'll also get the leap pen and some books to read and some other imaginext figurines. Other family members are getting him Lego city sets and avengers action figures.

All DS want is Legos. Lego City, Ninjago, the monster Legos (I don't know if they have a name). He told us that if Santa brought anything besides Legos, he's going to send it back. lol. okay, kid.

DS is five and getting magna tiles. He is also getting a 3$ balsa wood airplane that flies with a twisted rubber band (amazon) and a kids electrical circuit kit (also amazon).
What he is actually asking for is a cabbage patch doll, but he already has two dolls and doesn't play with them. Dd asked for peanuts and a purse. I ignored both of them
I'm a teacher to 4 year olds, so I'll report as to what is popular in my class... MagnaTiles, Wedgits, GIANT coloring books (one little boy brings in a different character book nearly each day and the other boys crowd around him during free time and they all color so nicely!), Hot Wheels and big play mat/map, but the MOST popular thing for everyone, especially my rough and tumble boys, has to be our giant Barbie heads with the "real" hair! They all love to brush the hair, add about 15 hair bows, and then show off the styles.
Are you getting DS a drum set? My friend's son has a drum set and it's so cute to see him play along when his big sister is listening to her Bieber and Taylor Swift songs!
Last Christmas when DS1 was four his list was all Playmobil sets and Transformers. Of the other stuff he got, walkie talkies, a Lego headlamp, a talking alarm clock, and a new bike helmet were all popular. He loved the board games Zingo, Busytown, and Guess Who at four.
Ds is getting lego construction vehicles, a marble run from the ILs, a matchbox cars race track, and art supplies. He also requested a cash register and a "real haircutting set with hair dryer and butterfly clips".
ETA: We chose not to indulge the last request out of fear thay he would decide real scissors were the way to go and DD would end up bald.
From us and various relatives: Hot Wheels tracks, clothes (yes he likes them), indoor tent, anything Spiderman, Cars DVD, a baseball cap, lots of board games- Chutes and Ladders, Hungry Hippos, a few seek and find things, and a scooter.
DS asked for a DreamLite (yes, As Seen on TV... he loves his pillow pet) and a measuring tape. I found a small flexible-tape one, rather than metal, at The Container Store.
He's also getting a Skippyjon Jones book (he loves this character), some Spanish flash cards, BrainQuest, a puzzle, board game, and craft book. My mom got him a new bike helmet.

My son asked for super hero action figures and Imaginext dinosaurs. He also loves his bike so I would agree with the person that suggested getting him a bike.
I think I am just sad because I don't think he is going to be SO excited this year like last. He already has a bike and a scooter. Here's where we ended up in case other ppl need ideas:
1. Big drum set 2. Games - Who Shook Hook, Operation and Hungry Hippos 3. Leap Pad Games - Jake, Mr. Pencil and a Thomas Ebook 4. Stompeez (bc he wants them Lord help us...what a waste of $ lol) 5. Imaginext Bat Cave 6. VTech Dinosaur that someone on here mentioned (Thanks!) 7. Two Hex bug sets. 8. Fisher Price beginner Roller Skates
