Yeah, it's kind of a no-news situation. They pulled in someone from a different department to act as interim director. Initially I thought that this was just their way of sneakily promoting her, but I went in to say hi in November and she told me in no uncertain terms that she did not want the position long-term. Allegedly they are going to start the official search in January and I'll likely apply then. We'll see.
Brie is it a position you are interested in or want, or do you feel obligated to apply?
Gah, I don't know. I THINK I want it. Pre-baby, it was basically my dream job. But right now the idea of going back to work at all makes me kind of nauseous. I'm not sure if it's the PPD or just normal FTM guilt but I'm having all sorts of anxiety about daycare.
I'm definitely going to apply and see what comes of it. It can't hurt.
