Hey Brie! I remember that things at your work were crappy as you departed for maternity leave, but then your supervisor retired. And then there was some discussion of you being promoted to her position. Any news on that it have you totally kept your distance from work?

Yeah, it's kind of a no-news situation. They pulled in someone from a different department to act as interim director. Initially I thought that this was just their way of sneakily promoting her, but I went in to say hi in November and she told me in no uncertain terms that she did not want the position long-term. Allegedly they are going to start the official search in January and I'll likely apply then. We'll see.

Gah, I don't know. I THINK I want it. Pre-baby, it was basically my dream job. But right now the idea of going back to work at all makes me kind of nauseous. I'm not sure if it's the PPD or just normal FTM guilt but I'm having all sorts of anxiety about daycare.

I'm definitely going to apply and see what comes of it. It can't hurt.
