Our power went out due to huge storms Thursday btwn 4 & 5:15pm (I was @ work), it was off when I got home @ 515pm, it did not come back on till sometime btwn Fri @ 1pm & this morning (Sat) @ 8am (we were out of town overnight, it was off when we left @1pm but back on when my IL's came over this morning to check on the house). DH said that everything in the freezer was still frozen when we left yesterday @1pm, & IL's said everything was cold when they stopped this morning... We don't have much in our fridge that we'd have to toss, but we have a ton of stuff in our freezer. Think it's ok, or should I toss it just to be safe?? TIA!

I'm pretty sure you can't refreeze raw frozen food. So if you had any meat in the freezer that thawed, you either need to cook it and freeze it, or toss it.

This.
But if everything stayed frozen (or at least mostly) you should be fine.

I think it did, we had ice cream in there & it barely melted on top. Also had ice cubes in a ziploc bag & those must have stayed frozen b/c they are still cubed, instead of melting together in one massive ice-ball
