Some of the neighbors may be playing poker early so we will join for a while if they do.
Other than that, we will be staying in, cooking lobster tails, and I may be watching a webcast of my favorite band's NYE show from Madison Square Garden if I can get DH on board with it. If not, college football.
We used to go out but finding a NYE sitter is such a hassle and huge expense, plus I feel like you get worse service and food than normal even in nice restaurants because there are such huge crowds out. Same reason we don't go out on Valentine's Day. Just not worth it.
We'll have a newborn, but we still plan to cook dinner, have champagne, and stay up to see the ball drop. I'm sure I'll be nursing all the time anyway.
last time I think I went to any kind of NYE party was in high school, lol. I've been boring, for a long long time.
Ditto!
It will be just like any other night. I don't even care. It is a non-holiday to me.
One year my family had "dinner" be everyone's favorite unhealthy appetizer, but we were all so ill after gorging ourselves that we never did that again, lol. It was pretty tasty, though!

I don't know. We are considering getting a sitter, but I don't know if I even want to stay out that late. We've been invited to a party at a hotel, but I'm not sure it's our crowd.
Actually, I think I'm going to head back into the office and work a full day on the 31st. It's always a dead day around our office; I'll be able to get a TON done with no one knowing I'm there...

We'll be back in our hotel room by 9 at the latest after spending the day at Sea World :-)
I'm sure DH will want to stay up until midnight (we have a suite, so DD can be sleeping in the other part of the hotel room), but I may fall asleep before midnight on NYE for the first time since elementary school. I think walking around theme parks for a week while pregnant is going to wear me out!
