I was really happy with it, glad there was no huge cliffhanger.
I was shocked by the bombing, totally horrific. I am not sure if Brody will be presumed dead or if they will know he is at large and suspect Carrie had something to do with it since she disappeared for a couple of days.
Quinn's character is very interesting, and you have to wonder if he has connections with the terrorists.
The episode was crazy! Maybe I wasn't paying attention but I never actually saw Carrie and Brody leave the memorial service-just remember them riding in the elevator together. I think it was Al Qaeda that planted the bomb. I don't know how Carrie is going to explain herself.
I was thinking that getting Brody out of the country was part of their plan all along - to keep him safe no matter what. Brody led them to Nazir and now Carrie's keeping up their end of the deal.
I'm still processing it....I may go back and watch it again to look for clues.
I really liked the moments between Carrie & Brody.....I especially liked when he was saying goodbye to her and said "This was love" and "goodbye, love" awwww
This. Also, who moved his car? I'm sure that has to be on SOME security camera somewhere.
Also, there was just a huge bombing. How did Carrie just drive out of there?
There were several holes in the plot, but those were definitely the biggest. I was also confused about Saul being asked to brief the President about the bombing. Wouldn't he have been at the memorial for his VP?
ETA: And actually on further thought, wouldn't Jess, Dana & Chris have attended the memorial too?? It's Dana's good friend's dad and Jess & Mrs. VP were friendly.
Saul was overseeing nazirs burial. Thats why he wasn't there.
I think the best line of the episode was when Saul told Carrie: "You're the smartest and dumbest fucking person I've ever known."
We just watched last night and I agree...that was the best line of the episode. I'm just hoping we don't have to see much of Dana next season with Brody out of the country...I find her character and acting horrible.

I'm actually oddly curious to see where they go w/ her. That whole conversation w/ Brody - back when he had the vest on, he wouldn't let her in the room and acted weird. She knew something was "off".
Then this time, she knew everything was o.k. and he basically admitted to her that he almost did something bad. but that now he's o.k.
She even said that she knows he wasn't involved (but yet can't really tell them WHY she knows) so.... I'm curious to see how that plays out. Hopefully they'll stop w/ the angst riddled aspect of her character though
I'm not sure what to think about everything. I really like this show, but the plot holes are pretty bad sometimes. I keep worrying that eventually they're going to be so stupid that I won't enjoy the show anymore.
I was really hoping that Cary would go with Brody, and then next season would focus on them trying to avoid capture by the CIA. I love them together.
I did too. But then I realized she's going to need to know what's going on and also try to clear Brody. AND I think the pull of her job is just too strong too. It's who she is.
