For those of you who have experience with severely swollen feet. How long after birth did it take for your feet to return to normal?
I've had swelling with all my kids, but it always went away within a week or so of giving birth. This time around my feet are still swollen at 4 weeks PP. They aren't painful like they were when I was PG though. It only bothers me when I look at them because they are freaking huge (about the same as Peggy's pic). I'm just wondering why they are still swollen at this point.

Did you have a c/s? Were you given fluids at the hospital? I had zero swelling before giving birth, but my feet remained fairly swollen until about 6 weeks after my c/s.
It took about 6 weeks for the swelling to go down enough that I could wear normal shoes. But even at 12 weeks pp (when I went back to work) not all my shoes fit.
Within a week, I believe, but I didn't need any additional fluids during the birth. I did, however, spend every waking moment PP peeing out all the fluid.

It was like 2 days before my 6 week pp appointment that I saw a noticeable improvement ....it was nuts! I don't think my shoes fit me properly until closer to 10 weeks , though.
My swelling went down about a week PP. Elevate your feet! Seriously. When you sleep (HAHA with a newborn I know) put 2 pillows under your legs. When you BF/give a bottle, put your feet up on the coffee table. The fluid will dissipate much faster if you elevate your feet.
