I keep asking Jelly Bean what she wants to give K for Christmas and her consistent answer is "a purple present." I try to draw out more details but her toddler word anything purple will work. We wandered through Target yesterday and she picked out purple fabric softener, purple cleaner, and a purple whisk. I didn't buy any but at this point I might have to go back for the purple whisk - lol!
DW is not a purple type of gal. But I really want the gift to come from JB. So thoughts? Purple clothing is out. Maybe a purple case for her glasses but she doesn't really need one. Idk. Ideas please! :-)
What about making purple pancakes Christmas morning? my kids love cooking "special" meals to celebrate people and occasions - its adorable how proud and excited they are.
so if there isnt a purple *thing* that K would really want, maybe turn it into an activity that would be a special memory for them both?
How about a purple pen and notepad? She could make her a picture with purple paint/crayons/etc. Is there something that K could use like the whisk or a hairbrush or toothbrush or something that you could get in purple? I think it would be cute for JB to give her a box of a bunch of purple odds and ends. You could make a cute (purple!) card together that explains the gift.
No ideas but reading this makes me think purple is one of those works which if you read or say too many times in a row it doesn't sound like a real word.
I think it is cute she has decided on a color not an item.
For Mother's Day Carl got J and I each a double walled cup. It didn't really matter to me what the item was, the fact that he picked it out made it special to me.
Yup. For Christmas a couple of years ago the kids picked an umbrella out for L in the ugliest print imaginable. I quietly explained why this was her gift and she loved it.
I would totally buy the fabric softener, whisk, etc. It is the quintessential 2y old gift.
