There was a poll a few weeks back asking most and least used small appliances. Several said waffle maker as one of the least used. I don't know if the ones who answered have no kids. But then, I don't remember anyone who said it's one of the most used appliances.
Do you have a waffle maker? How often do you use it? I've always imagined making waffles for me and DD. But maybe the poll on MM means I shouldn't waste my money on it.

We have some combo waffle maker/panini press/sandwich maker thing where you change the plates out depending on what you're making. DH hates it and swears he won't use it anymore. We're thinking about just getting a waffle maker but we'd probably use it maybe once a month? So nothing we'd spend a ton of money on.
We registered for a nice one for our wedding but my sister got us a crappy one so we took the nice one off our registry. Then we dropped the crappy one and it broke. We used it a bunch though.
I just asked for one for christmas! I so hope I get one. We had waffles (my grandma's norwegian recipe) every weekend when I grew up and I want to continue that with my kids.
I asked for one for Christmas when I was single. It was a hit at the NYE after-party the next morning
I have another one now, and we use it at least once a month. DD asks for waffles or pancakes pretty frequently. I make up a decent batch and throw the extras in the freezer to pop in the toaster later.
My least used was probably our bread machine. I freecycled it.

We use it a few times a year. Maybe 4 times. Often enough to keep it, but we probably wouldn't replace it if it broke. I'd use it more often if it cleaned itself. That's the worst part.

I've actually considered getting a sandwich-making contraption. DD is currently obsessed with Croque Monsieurs and most people I know who make them at home have a "Croque Monsieur" maker, which I am guessing is like a sandwich grill.
I should probably just google Croque Monsieur recipes, though. Particularly since anything I buy here will be a different voltage than I plan to use by this time next year.

While it probably is my "least used" appliance, that doesn't mean I'd get rid of it. My kids love fresh homemade waffles. Works for sandwiches, too, since I don't have a panini press or anything like that.

in five years I have never cleaned my waffle maker. I guess I am weird?
We have 2...the one that makes 4 square at once & a Belgian. We use it like 2-4times a year. It takes too long to stand there watching for 5+ waffles. Then again I don't like making pancakes nor French toast for the same reason. I've taught my DD to make pancakes recently, maybe it's time to teach waffles so she can take over that duty too. We like waffles but mostly the kids eat Eggo waffles...lol.
We have a cheap Belgian waffle maker. We probably bust it out once a month or so. We don't even have kids, but I vastly prefer waffles to pancakes as an occasional weekend treat.

yes we have 2, one currently in storage, small/thinner waffle maker...the other is a snoopy waffle maker we had one when we were younger and we loved it, so it took a while to find but we got this one and use it about every weekend! (when we are both home, DH is in school)

Yep, we have a waffle maker. It was our first wedding gift from one of our favorite professors. We have used it exactly once. I have grand plans of being the type of mom to make homemade breakfast every weekend. lol (in my head I'm not as lazy as I am in real life)
We have a combo George Foreman thing that has waffle plates. We use it maybe every couple months to make waffles. We never use it for anything else (paninis, etc.)
