I got the 4s instead of the 5. It's my first smartphone ever. In the end I didn't see a reason to get the 5 and have to use all different adaptors when I already had so many that would fit the 4s.
I went with the 4s. The iPhone 5 is lighter, has a slightly bigger screen, and has some additional features. Because I was buying my phone unlocked and paying the full price, the upgraded features of the 5 just didn't justify the extra price for me personally. Especially because the features for the camera and video were mostly the same.
My phone went missing yesterday and I am currently phoneless. I am looking to buy the iphone 5 later this evening (as long as my other phone doesn't turn up before hand). No real reason other than 5 comes after 4......ha.

Haha.. This is my reasoning as well. I am eligible for an upgrade in January and keep going back and forth between the 2. I've been asking for money towards my new phone from almost everyone. I feel like if I get enough I can justify getting the 5.
I have a home adaptor for the 4s but think that eventually all the apple products are going to go over to the lightning stick... But saving $100 is very tempting.
I have the 4s and H has the 5. Every time he uses my phone he says "this is so heavy" and he squints his eyes to see the tiny screen, but he's stupid. . Unless you're actually a scale it is pretty much the same phone. I don't love that it takes a different cord than the iPad to charge now but I do love that it goes into the phone in either direction. That's convenient. But for $100 and not having to get a new car charger I'd get the 4s personally.
I have the 5 and it is my first iPhone so I can't really compare it to the others. I like it for the most part. I don't understand what all the hype is, but it is nice to have more storage than my old phone (I have the 16gb).

I guess I will have to wait and see what I get money wise for Christmas. I've already gotten $25 and I specifically asked for Verizon gcs.
