I need help! As some of you know Darcy was debarked by the foster mom who had her before we adopted her. Ojo told me to watch for choking. We have been and other than funny noises after she drinks water too fast she has been fine. Since Friday around lunch she has been regurgitating her first meal of the day within 1-4 hours. But dinner is staying down. We really don't know what to do. Dinner is a larger meal than breakfast but the smaller meal isn't staying in. It just doesn't make sense.
E reduced her amount to a smaller portion last night and again this morning. Breakfast came up again. So E decided to give her two small treats and see what happens. So far nothing. I gave her a carrot yesterday and she was fine.
I don't know what to do. I'm going to put her food in a 6 cup muffin pan tonight and see if slowing her down helps.
Also you should know she is not dehydrated and is acting totally normal.

Poor baby!
I have no idea what it could be except my big kitty was doing the same thing to us at the Navy Lodge during the move. It didn't stop until we finally moved into our house and his anxiety reduced.
If reducing the amount of food isn't changing her throwing it back up, I'd probably call the on call vet if you can and get their opinion. Can I assume the morning feeding is the same food as the evening? If it continues a vet visit may be in order. Sometimes there is other stuff going on, and its better to be on the safe side and just have them checked by a vet. I hope she starts keeping stuff down!
Not really the same situation, but our GSD has an extremely sensitive stomach, and even eating something like grass or a treat that he doesn't normally get messes with his stomach. I keep a close watch on what he eats, because if he does eat something out of the ordinary, he either throws up or gets diarrhea.

We are planning a vet visit for Tuesday if things don't get better just because her original vet is 2 hours away and we haven't set her up with the vet here yet.
Her food is the same morning and night. I keep thinking its all the darn bones E's parents sent home with them.
I'm going to keep watch on her today like a hawk! Thanks ladies.
My only other suggestion would be anxiety. Has your morning routine changed at all? Rudi is particularly sensitive to routine and if I sleep in or he feels like his morning isn't going like it usually does, he throws up.
They're on kibble, right? Do you add water to soften it? If not, that's a great way to get a bit of hydration into her without relying on her drinking it and it also makes kibble less of a choking hazard if they're known to gobble down their food without much thought.
Oh, and activity level? I'm guessing they're not running around and being circus dogs immediately after eating, but it deserves a mention.
E isn't getting up as early as he normally does but other than that nothing has changed.
Kibble is correct, I haven't added water I'll try that tomorrow morning. I don't want to try too many things at once. She is drinking really well though. But I'll add water to her's anyways.
She normally eats and then goes outside to go potty comes right back in and cuddles for a while. No crazy ban-chines in my house unless they are chasing the cat or trying to wake me up.
Thanks for the input everyone. We are going to keep watching her and make those changes and see what happens. If we are still having problems Tuesday I'll call the vet. Thanks!
