I'm really interested to use one of those pillow tiles for backsplash, but I'm wondering how to make them look good around outlets/switches. Any suggestions/ideas? I'm thinking it will not look good to just leave the sharp cut exposed. I guess the outlet/switch plate can be mounted on top of the tile. But do you think it will look ok?
How would you want it done? I need ideas before I talk to the tiler. H was telling me to just avoid these type of tiles and go with something flat.
Outlet and switch covers are always installed on top of the tile. All cut edges should be hidden around them so it's NBD what type of tile you want to use. If your boxes are recessed flush with the cement board substrate (I hope it's cement board at least) then you have to buy extension pieces for each box so that they are flush with the finished tiles.

OK thanks. :-)
I just imagined it that it will look like the cover will be floating. But I guess that doesn't matter much.
ETA: Btw, we passed electrical inspection with the light above the tub. Inspector did not say anything about it.
