BUT... I see the old board is having their "First Ever TTC Check In," which makes me assume that the PCP/TTC/ATP Wednesday thread is no longer in use. Does that mean we can do one here, now? I've been hesitant to start something like that up because I didn't want people who are on both boards to feel like I was "taking" one of "their" weekly threads. That being said, I am on here way more (I SO prefer this format!!) and would love for us to have a PCP/TTC/ATP Wednesday thread and a PIP Thursday thread if people wouldn't feel like we're stepping on toes. What do you think?

Ah, I was directed to something more like the old Wed thread. So I guess they still have that one.
I'm still posting a PIP thread tomorrow, darnit! I miss feeling like we can't nurture community on here because the old board "owns" all the old mechanisms. But I'm probably just being grouchy because I've had an awful week at work and I miss you all.
I don't post on TB anymore, but on the rare occasion that I glance over there, it seems it is plenty busy, and there are lots of people. I don't think we have to worry about it becoming a ghost town anymore - I think we can post whatever we want here

I post on both but y'all are my faves to I come here more for the long-term comradery, but there now that I'm pregnant. I don't do PIP either, and I like the idea of TT Tuesday there and TT Thursdays here.
I think day of the week check in threads are fine as long as they aren't the exact same thing on the exact same day. PCP/TTC/ATP basically died because it was most recently mine, and I haven't been posting much. Looks like Joy is trying to organize things over there, so maybe coordinate with her post there a bit?
I think the idea of TTC and Pregnancy check ins on this board might be a little touchy though. I know this board can be a refuge for those of us who are in various stages of being bitter infertiles. (I'm refering to myself here) Avoiding TTC/Pregnancy stuff was a frequently cited advantage of this board, although I have to say I mostly appreciate this board doesn't have random drive by pregnancies and first try wonders. I'm happy to hear about everyone here's progress and where they are at.

I agree with/respect hlke's take on the ttc/pregnancy threads, but in general have TT's attitude about post what you want where you want. I like that if I have something pregnancy related that I wanted to post here, I feel I can (esp. because I may want input from specific experienced mamas over here), but I'm also aware that TB is the "better" board for those things most times. I think sensitivity to the on-gong ttc of others using this as a refuge is important, and I'm fine with specific threads related to those topics staying over there.
My grammar is horrendous in that last post. I too agree with TT's post what you want where you want it. I'm personally a little divided on a specific TTC related thread here, but it really honestly is fine either way. Important people in our community are TTC and pregnant, and honestly I think being able to be a supportive community is the most important thing.
Joy you can post about your pregnancy all day! I think we are ALL SO HAPPY for you!!
It seems the only people who post about preg/ttc over here are regulars. There's no random person who's never read a book asking "How do I get pregnant?" - and I think THAT is what we non-bumpies are trying to avoid.
I am always happy to see posts about the goings-on in the life of my friends - regardless of where everyone is at.
OF COURSE we can talk about pregnancies, IF struggles, parenting trials & triumphs! I don't think we need a ttc/preg check in, and agree that's better suited to TB, but I don't think thT was what TWB was suggesting - I think she just used that as an example to ask about bringing some of our "old" thread topics here.
I don't want anyone to feel like they can't post anything over here. ESPECIALLY those of us who have been around for years!

Yeah, what she said! And ITA about being sensitive to those struggling with IF.

Thanks for saying that, hensmum!
I know I've been a bit quiet about it in light of the recent losses (and it's still early and we have our own normal concerns until we see a heartbeat/feel a bump/baby movements/birth), but I'm also really trying to enjoy it all and I truly appreciate all of your support!

I'm late to the party but wanted to ditto what hensmum and others have said. I do miss some of the daily posts on the other board, so I'm excited to do TTThursday.
Sorry I was at the pedi with N for a possible hernia. Yes, pregnant! 5 weeks! I found out last Monday but it wasn't the right time to share. I had my betas last week, everything looks good, fingers crossed. I have my first real OB appointments and u/s on 1/8.
