River I'm in the same boat. I've been mulling over doing it all month and figured last night "why the hell not?" I only know the genre and time period. I think I'm going to do a coming of age type story but I'm not sure what the major plot points are. Or characters.

I was lurking around forums last night and think I might do some dares to help get things kicking. I feel like my novel will be written in chunks that don't necessarily work in a straight line.

I'm doing a little research on my topic tonight so I'm hoping I can get inspired with a more concrete story. Could you possibly do any research and see what sparks your wheel?

Ok I posted above that I managed to write a quick plot outline. I have a couple of plots going spare that I got from Nano forums if you'd like to take a look.
