I took a little hiatus with a weekend trip to Vegas and the elections yesterday. Back to work tonight. I'm going to try to catch up on the big fat 0s I posted, but even if I don't, the daily word count I need to win is still doable.
Ugh, I'm behind in my word count, but I'm also behind in the story. I've gotten all caught up in describing every. little. thing. that the plot hasn't even gotten going yet. For me it's easier to write paragraphs about what the kitchen counter tops are made of than to write dialogue and plot.
Time to write plot and go back later to add descriptions if I want to finish this year.

That's the way I'm doing it this year and it's working MUCH better for me.
I have the opposite problem. I write nothing but plot and all the description I have in my head that I plan on writing gets glossed over. It's annoying when I think I've written about something and when I go back to reread its gone. Wtf
I got to 11554 last night. I did a word war with a few friends, which went went, until I finished the chapter/scene I was on. I am starting to get to some of the more difficult chapters (emotionally) to write and am intimidated by it. I know what needs to happen, I'm just worried I won't be able to execute it the way I want. I am also starting to get worried that I will run out of story before I hit 50,000 words and I hate to go back and add fluff for the sake of word count.
