So organised at some things, so rubbish at others!

Today is our 7th wedding anniversary. I told dh a few weeks ago that the traditional gift (which we usually follow - and we just do token gifts:) was Wool or Copper
so he got me a roll of wool for crocheting and a book called 'sexy crochet patterns'
OMG it's so funny - bikinis, mini skirts, see through shirts lol! He thought it was hilarious
BEST of all though - the card he got me had a picture of the scene from Dirty Dancing where she's crawling across the floor to him - LOVE IT!!!!
anyhow, I'm rubbish and organised a weekend away last weekend & all the stuff for our babysitter, etc etc but I forgot to get dh a card or a gift *sigh*
found a card this weekend to give him today, but I didn't get a gift so I'm online ordering him a scarf now..... and will just have to pretend it didn't arrive in time- gawd I need to write more to do lists I think - can't believe I didn't organise that ahead of time

I LOVE that you guys follow the traditional gifts and you guys are always so creative. Dh and I tried and it lasted about 2 years lol. This year, I would love, love, LOVE to go away somewhere for a weekend. We used to take a trip for our anniversary every year but having the kids the past few years, it hasn't worked for us. Add in this year we are broke and I don't have my passport, siiigh, we'll see how it works. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Happy anniversary! That crochet book sounds awesome haha. Dh always forgets cards so I've startes not wororying if I forget lol even though I like cards..giving and getting

That's a fantastic gift! DH and I are never that creative - we tend to just do trips around our birthdays and go out to dinner or something like that for our anniversary. When we remember. I love that you follow the traditional gifts.

Thanks ladies - yea the traditional gift thing is fun, you can be a bit creative
we prefer that to spending a lot of money

and I got that scarf ordered today so he'll have it soon!! now I feel better

He does sound creative! We also do the traditional gifts and my H is better at it than I am. At least he has one thing he gets to be better at me at.
