I bought Gel Kayano 18's, tried to return for 17's, store didn't have them, so I took $158 in store credit. I wanted to use it to buy sunglasses but they don't carry them. I get my running clothes at Lulu normally so not into much of the clothing. Have a foam roller, a variety of water bottles and water bottle holders already. Other thoughts? Do I just buy a ton of gu and socks?
Kirkette- no, he's all hooked on Lululemon too. And he doesn't run and didn't think the shoes were supportive enough for the lifting he does do. I guess I'll be keeping it until the 19's come out.
i would hold onto it because you WILL need new shoes. if the 17s are discontinued, you are going to eventually need to find a new shoe.
i have to say, switching shoes is not necessarily bad. out of all the years i have been running, i had to switch shoes many times - and i've always been happier with the switch.
you can also consider getting a 2nd kind of shoe. for example, a racing shoe. or a trail shoe. i even have a different shoe for my long runs. if you want to do triathlons, you may consider a tri shoe (they have a special shape to help your foot go in easier). i love shoes, and i dont think you can have too many.

All this. Or I'd get over the lulu thing and get clothes. Lulu is nice but it's not the end all be all of running clothes Get some sweats to change into after running or a fun shirt that is your " dry" post run shirt.
