1. Minutes ago, my first release of the 2012-2013 cycle went live on our agency's website. One major legal deadline down, two to go. I will be so happy when this awful work season is over with!
2. Please, please, please dear God, don't let there be any issues with today's release.
3. There are carolers (my agency's chorale group) in the hall outside my office. I can't decide if it's nice or irking me beyond belief.
4. I have SO MUCH stuff to do that as much as I am looking forward to going to MIL's for Christmas, I'm worried I won't be able to set the stress aside long enough to enjoy it.
5. First on the agenda when we get back: FINALLY moving the rest of the crap out of our old house so we can get it on the rental market. Oh, and meeting the other two legal deadlines in the first week of January.
6. I found out this morning that DW thinks the bagel-and-applesauce breakfasts I fed the kids while she was gone were inappropriate and/or insufficient. There goes my MOTY award.
7. Our building is apparently struggling to control its mouse population, and along with that are coming checks of everyone's offices. Apparently we aren't supposed to have any stacked papers anywhere. I'm pretty sure I'm about to get written up (hello, more stress!).
8. One of my brothers is in jail right now, and it makes me sad that no one in my family is in contact with him except me, and I can't go visit around the holidays. Just seems shitty and lonely.
9. Two more chances to turn this TTT around to a positive note... Ummm... My wife is back! I missed her and am very happy she's back, and hope we get a date night when we're at her mom's house.
10. The kids loooooove Christmas lights. They shriek with delight every time we pass some on the way coming home. I love it!

I'm in ur website, lookin' at ur data. I totally use your data all the time! Who are all these people moving to or being born in North Dakota?

Wow! Small world! I'd "guess" ( ) the ND increase is probably due to the oil boom happening there right now.

Huh? Parents who are not at home alone with 2 toddlers don't get to comment on food choices (including my own wife) unless the children are being fed nails and anti-freeze.
What is wrong with bagels and applesauce? Better than my kids get.
1. I liked the neurologist we saw yesterday, he gave me a lot of advice off the record and was so sweet and kind to Owl. He gave us a prescription for speech therapy 3 times per week, is referring us to physical therapy for Owl's gait and inward rolled feet, is referring us to the orthotics team at the Children's Hospital, and wants to see us again after her MRI is done.
2. It's 32° this morning, brrr.
3. Owl's is starting to use 2 word sentences! She will say Help Please and I'm Done when asked to use her words, this makes me so proud of her.
4. Today is our last day of speech and OT at the center we've been working with for the last 6 months, Regional Center takes over from here and will hopefully give us speech with this new prescription. I need to get ahold of the school district because we are going to be shuffled there in another 6 montha.d.
5. A has lice again, I will be treating with chemicals tomorrow. Hopefully the chemicals work because she is miserable.
6. Apple has reached the toddler tantrum stage, enough said.
7. I think we are going to shave Iz's head again.
8. Owl is having a cookie and fruit and protein soy milk for breakfast, Mother of the Year right here.
9. I am going to sew a few pairs of suspenders for Owl, belts are a pain when potty training.
10. I forgot to eat breakfast, I am going to be grouchy hungry in 2.5 hours when therapy is over.
6. I found out this morning that DW thinks the bagel-and-applesauce breakfasts I fed the kids while she was gone were inappropriate and/or insufficient. There goes my MOTY award.

My kid ate dry Kix cereal this morning. I think I win!

Seriously. I have a hard enough time with my 1 toddler. Half the time Gwen will eat a hashbrown and call it good. It's not worth the hassle to try to argue a full breakfast into her in the morning!!

Oh, no you don't. My kids ate gingerbread poptarts that they found on the discounted endcap at Target. WINNER! :Y:
1. I am in a pissy mood. I've been in a pissy mood since last night. I wish I could snap out of it.
2. I think I need a long break from work. But given that I need to take 1 day in Jan and 2 days in Feb for teacher work days/parent teacher conferences/report card prep I can't really take anymore vacation. Boo.
3. We are taking the kid on an overnight in Feb to a Lego Fest. It is going a surprise! They are going to love it.
4. I kinda thought that L would just have to write 1-2 more weekends after the new year. But it looks like she is writing 3/4 of the weekends in Jan....and some in Feb. Fabulous.
5. I am tired of people not doing what they say they are going to do (work related.)
6. The kids have their winter performance tonight - they are so excited! It will be awesome - though I wish I could bug out when they are done cause this thing goes on for 90m. Oof.
7. I just ordered my dad something else for Christmas. I was feeling guilty that 1) I ordered crappy gift and 2) We didn't invite him.
8. I am REALLY feeling guilty for not inviting him. REALLY.
9. We have so much to do this weekend. L is taking the kids to buy gifts for me while I go shopping for the family we are sponsoring. Everything I buy needs to be wrapped. Everything we've bought for the kids/each other needs to be wrapped. L wants to do a shit load of baking, we need to take the kids individually to buy gifts for each other....Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
1. Our first appt with our OB's office is today. Yeah for another u/s! :-) 2. We are NOT going to be Team Green this time. 3. I still have Christmas shopping to do. 4. My parents' gift is not ready to be mailed yet (I'll be paying up the ass for overnight shipping I guess) 5. I'm looking for a hotel room in Toronto and the height of the buildings and all the windows are giving me an irrational fear that DD will fall. 6. If I have $ in my bank account I'm buying myself lunch before my u/s. 7. Maybe I just won't come back to work afterwards and instead go finish my shopping. 8. DD keeps asking for lights on our house but I just don't have the energy to put them on the roof. We have trees with lights and a few other decorations outside, but every time she asks for lights I feel sort of guilt. 9. My boss gave me a too-generous Christmas gift yesterday. It was nice but a bit over the top. 10. :-)

1. I'm so looking forward to my 5.5 days off!!!
2. I love this time of year, but I seriously can't believe that Christmas is Tuesday already. Its going to be great.
3. My Wednesday off, home all by myself is going to be awesome too!
4. This will be the first year we aren't going to Trav's grandfather's for Christmas Eve, since he's still in AZ with Trav's parents. Honestly, part of me is relieved... its a crazy, long, loud day; but a bigger part of me is sad, and is going to miss it.
5. We're hopefully going to go out and look at Christmas lights in a nearby park as something special to do instead.
6. I sent an email to a coworker that was meant as a joke, but if he takes it seriously it could make me look jerky. I really hope he takes it the way it was meant! :-o
7. I feel like my brain has been somewhere else at work for the past few weeks. I just can't seem to get a groove going.
8. Gwen used the potty 4x at school yesterday, and had a dry diaper 3 of those times! I think we're going to have to get serious about potty training post Christmas. (Thankfully Santa is bring her some training underwear and a potty stool!)
9. There is so much snack stuff in the kitchen, its going to be really hard to avoid it, but I need to get lunch.
10. A few yogurt cover raisins are okay, right? ...

1. It's raining outside, and the rain is supposed to turn to snow tonight.
2. We're driving up to my ILs' house tomorrow. I was supposed to work a half day and then we were going to head up in the afternoon, but I just put in for the rest of the day off because I don't want to drive in to work in the snow for half a day, turn around and drive home, and then have to drive an hour and a half (at least) into an area that's supposed to get even more snow than us.
3. That means that I'll be off for 5 WHOLE DAYS starting today at 4:30. I can't WAIT.
4. I still have to pick up my wife's gift (ordered online for in-store pick up), and get another one that I was trying to order online but has disappeared from the website. I'm hoping they still have it in store.
5. Of course I have a GC, but it's sitting at home on my desk so I can't just swing by the store on my way home from work.
6. I'm debating running home on my lunch break to grab the GC, but it's my last day to have lunch with my mom until next Wednesday so I don't know...maybe I'll see if she wants to ride along with me...
7. I think I've finally gotten all our holiday cards mailed out. The last round went out this morning. I'm so late this year, and I feel bad.
8. I made these white chocolate cherry shortbread cookies for a work exchange, and I'm bummed because I got exactly the number I needed for the exchange...which means I didn't get to try them at all. Not that I need more cookies right now, but still!
9. My baby was SO GOOD this morning. He woke up on his own and was very sweet and cooperative when I was getting ready and getting him dressed.
10. He keeps asking us to "turn on Christmas." By which he means "turn on the lights on the Christmas tree," but I just think it is so adorable.

This is really cute. Gwen keeps saying things like, "Tomorrow I'll go to school, and then we'll do Christmas?" "We're going to the store and then we'll do Christmas?"
Its been a long month of "not yet," I cannot wait to tell her yes!

1. I did not say that bagels and applesauce was not a good breakfast. I said throwing the Kiddos a bagel in the backseat while we are driving to work because we yet again missed breakfast time is not breakfast (especially when Peanut is finishing 3/4's of it in the evening).
2. I feel like C and I have not been on the same page for awhile. I can't wait until all her deadlines are met at work; she is so stressed out.
3. Paris was just not my kind of place. Expensive, noisy, crowded.......give me a beach and quiet...plus a decent-sized bathroom.
4. This is the first trip that I could really tell that both Kiddos missed me. It was also my shortest trip.
5. My Mom fractured her pelvis on Tuesday...talk about being bummed...I am such a Mama's girl.
6. I can tell C is super stressed, the Kiddos antics in the van are driving her batty.
7. I have work to do ... why am I typing?
8. The thought of IVF next year is scary, yet exciting.
9. My oldest is going to be in Mississippi with her fiance this Christmas...I want my baby home with us!
10. To erase any doubts, I will have a date night with C while on vacation.

did I mention my kids eat breakfast in the car every morning? WINNER.

mine does too. she actually eats better when strapped down in one place with limited distractions.

1. I am way behind on my project coordinator job tasks. I need to play catch up this week and next. Part of that is writing an article about LGBTQ breastfeeding. That should be fun! 2. C has 11 days off for our holiday stay-cation. Wish we were spending some of it with family though. 3. I was looking forward to both of us being home a lot, but now I'm working with two new sets of clients and will be working about half those days. I'm trying to stack the clients on the same days to make some blocks of time off/at home. 4. Number 3 means more money, which we desperately need right now. And over the break we're going to be working on some income generating and business improvement strategies - including hopefully getting C more work and re-doing my business website. 5. C's mom is giving us money toward our new stove. It is such a relief! 6. I did a budget of estimated pregnancy costs (not even including saving for expenses during a "maternity leave") and it was scary! Stupid DOMA for making it cost-prohibitive to just be on C's work insurance! I'm self-employed and my PC job is a contract position, so I have expensive private-pay insurance with a high-ish deductible. It also doesn't cover homebirth, so that will all be OOP, and if we end up transferring to the hospital for some reason, that would cost a bundle too. 7. My little sister had had a lot of birth/breastfeeding challenges and because I'm not nearby I feel I can't help her as much as I'd like. I try to remember that I'm a resource for her, but don't need to be the end-all-be-all. 8. My littlest sister may be staying in Southern Califronia for the rest of the school year. That makes me sad. I wonder if she'll change her mind when she knows I'm pregnant.... 9. My ickiness seems less the past couple days and it's worrying me a bit. But acupuncture yesterday was nice and she told me I even look pregnant. 10. I'm looking forward to having Saturday-Tuesday off!
did I mention my kids eat breakfast in the car every morning? WINNER.
mine does too. she actually eats better when strapped down in one place with limited distractions.
I don't even feed mine breakfast during the week. He gets it at daycare and I'm too lazy to get up early enough to feel him before we leave (we live literally about a minute from our daycare, so no eating in the car, and we don't pay anything extra for daycare breakfast). Does that make me the winner? At least I cook for him on the weekends, right?

1. A long meeting in the morning makes the day fly by.
2. Tonight we are taking E to see Santa. We are going to a diff place than usual because either the former guy is ill and not well looking or they have switched it up and E told her dad that is NOT Santa.
3. I wonder how much longer we will pull this off. Anyone remember when they figured it out?
4. My parents are staying with us for 2 nights for the holiday. May their dog be on her best behavior.
5. Alternately I'll just need a good bottle of wine.
6. I called my brother last night and told him that since we're spending the eve together as a family (when I have E) at my house I'm going to lay low on the day after I take E to her dad's.
7. I feel a bit bad about #6 but he was really cool about it and said more turkey and potatoes for him! Honestly I'm looking forward to the quiet after the crazy.
8. I hope I get all the things done this weekend that I need to without sacrificing a lot of sleep.
9. My bff has had a streak of bad things happening to her. I hope that turns around soon.
10. E REALLY wanted a furby for Christmas and I got her one. I hope I do not regret this noisy decision.
Haha, glad to know I'm not the only one whose kid eats a crap breakfast :-p Henry is just so not into breakfast! But then he gets cranky because he's hungry. So if there's something he'll actually eat in the morning, for the most part - he can have it. He once ate mac and cheese for breakfast!
1. We are watching Curious George right now. It's Henry's new obsession, and we've been watching a lot of it lately. 2. I partly feel guilty about that, but it's great downtime for me, as I recover from my nasty cold and do Xmas prep on top of usual chores. And I feel like the downtime is kind of good for him too - he's already so amped for Xmas, and as of Saturday, the craziness starts for us - it's going to be a week of excitement. 3. We have an exterminator coming today - there seem to be some mice in the walls. No signs in the house though, luckily! 4. I have one more Xmas present to buy. 5. I placed a big order for grocery delivery while Henry napped today. Ordered everything I could for our holiday cooking and baking. And made a separate list of things I need to actually go to the store for. 6. I am excited about cooking an baking up a storm for all our Xmas celebrating! It's a fun project and keeps my mind occupied. Cooking is so much better when I'm not trying to squeeze it into small blocks of time (C will be with Henry while I'm in the kitchen this weekend.) 7. Counseling together tonight. We've already come a long way. Things are improving. 8. Henry loves Xmas so much already, and I love him for loving it and basically it's a lovefest :-p 9. He keeps asking for confirmation that he can't open gift until Xmas - and that it is STILL not Xmas yet, haha 10. I'm going to get a gel manicure tomorrow, as a treat to myself, and so my nails will look nice all week
1. I'm in a better mood today than I was yesterday. Sorry for being emo-girl on posts yesterday. I've just been so sensitive lately.
2. I made a smoothie for myself this morning and then forgot it at home. Boo! But C got to enjoy a smoothie.
3. I got really nice praise from one of my project directors at work today.
4. I have an errand to run and want to go grab coffee and a snack, but I really should get some work done first.
5. I used up my regular powder foundation this morning and pulled a backup out of my stash. It is too dark for my ghostly winter complexion, but I didn't bother to redo it, so I look a little weird.
6. My chiropractor had me stretch my hamstrings out yesterday, and I'm so sore today.
7. I'm taking a long lunch today to get some errands done.
8. I've had this open for hours, I think I'm out of things to say.
did I mention my kids eat breakfast in the car every morning? WINNER.
mine does too. she actually eats better when strapped down in one place with limited distractions.
ARGH ... it is the fact that my Peanut does not finish her food in the morning, so going in on two bites of a bagel does not a breakfast make. Might I mention--the most important meal of the day........LOL! ( backatcha) --- we are playing here right?
1. We spent all day at dr's appointments and are going back tomorrow at 8:45. I'm exhausted.
2. We woke at 6 to drive at 15 miles an hour into Boston to go to Children's Sleep Clinic. We were there until 11:30 and I still don't feel listened to.
3. Then we rushed home, dropped off K to go ref a jv bball game and N and I rushed to his pedi, where we sat in a waiting room full of the sickest kids I've ever been around. Awesome.
4. And tomorrow morning we are going to a surgeon. N has had a stomach bug for the last 2 days and developed horrible diaper rash, like scorching red in a matter of 30 min. I was cleaning his bum and he was screaming at the top of his lungs and I saw this oblong egg shaped lump pop out of his groin. I panicked and called the night time dr and (blah blah) it looks like he has an inguinal hernia. Which will require surgery and general anesthesia!
5. The thought of my baby being put under makes my heart sob.
6. I can't believe Christmas is next week. We *way* overdid it with N this year but in our defense, he's grown out of all of his toys and the sales were so good.. We have to scale back from now on.
7. I love that we have TTT over here now.
8. I participated in the bump ornament exchange and I didn't know the person I got or gifted to me. It made me sad. I like a few of the people over there a lot so I try to stay on but there are so many people I don't know, I normally just end up deleting my post.
9. I think I'll feel more a part of the community if we have regular posts. I have a hard time posting random stuff. I always feel AW and want to delete it immediately.
10. I still haven't mailed my Christmas cards. They're all made out and even stamped. But with all the dr's and hiney woes, I haven't gotten around to mailing them. (Sigh)
2. My FIL always sends us a big basket of citrus fruit for Christmas. It would be my favorite gift except that it inevitably arrives the day before we fly somewhere and we have to scramble to give it away or eat it or it goes to waste. I ate a grapefruit and juiced an orange and will do something with it for dinner...
3. The weather looks clear at our layover and destination tomorrow, phew.
4. I have a bad headache and want a nap. But I also don't want to be up packing at midnight.
5. We're meeting my parents and sister at the airport at 4:30am.
6. I am tired of reading about what attributes "the ideal candidate" will have. Just say what's required and what is a bonus.
7. I am tired of typos in job postings that discuss the importance of attention to detail.
8. The babies were pretty indifferent about Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas, but I bet they'll love it in 2 or 3 years.
2. I am sick of sickness. No more puking or pooptroubles, please
3. I am obsessed with old episodes of parenthood right now
4. The kids have thtee more days off of school than our public schools. They dont go back til january 7th. No one wants those ectra days, including my girls.
5. My parents were going to take each girl for one night, but now it "wont work". I tried not to react like an ungrateful petulant "whatever" teenager.
6. I still need a gift for l. I have one thing
7. Two of my santa presents got ruined. Carrot saw me take sleds to the basement, and was here when Pumpkins water table was delivered. In not in a plain box. So, they each are getting another toy. Because santa cant bring socks.
8. Two more errands and more money
9. I rwish socks for five people ccould get in sync. And prescriptions. I am at target every other day picking up meds.
10. We are taking the kids to a foster family party tonight. Should be fun!
