So Limey - since you responded to my several posts about my job thought I'd come on and give you an update. You're not going to believe what's transpired this week.
On Wednesday, the broader team that I'm a part of announced a reorganization. I didn't expect to be impacted by this at all for various reasons, one being that my manager said she didn't expect me to be impacted. Well, she was wrong. Turns out I'm getting a new manager! My old manager was assigned a new role with a new team. This new person can't be more different than my current manager. And, the first thing he said to me was "I don't want you working more than 40 hours a week. I believe that happy people produce better results and you can't be happy if you're working 75 hrs a week. So, we're going to figure out what we need to do to make sure you've got the resources you need to feel productive, without burning out, killing yourself"
Can you believe it? So, I was totally prepping myself to talk to HR about a solution (i.e., finding a new role with a different manager) and turns out I just needed to be patient a little while longer. Crazy.
