Good Morning - we had a kid free weekend away with our friends this weekend - it was fun to spend half a day just reading magazines and relaxing and going out to dinner! Fun to see a new city too (Nelson Bay is really nice, would go back there again for the beaches!!). And we got out a fancy bottle of champagne we were given awhile ago to toast our anniversary with friends - so that was nice
I, for one, am jealous of the John Denver cover music! "That John Denver is full of shit, man." Name that movie and be my BFF forever!
This weekend was pretty low key because the next 2 will be spending extravaganzas. This weekend is DBF's birthday, which I have a few things planned, then the weekend after is a holiday and we're going to visit Byron Bay. It'll be my first trip outside of Queensland!

I had a great, lazy weekend. Friday we went to the movies -- saw MIB3 and had dinner at the food court. Saturday, I did laundry, made pesto whirls (DH called them savoury coffee scrolls), and pumpkin risotto for dinner. Sunday we slept late, I sent DH to the grocery for much-needed breakfast supplies and basically hung around the house all day. Nothing really happened, but it was a good weekend all the way around.

Good morning. I'm SO tired! Jax was up a lot last night and Leo won't stop shouting. I am so tired of the shouting. Nothing I am doing is deterring him from it and I am <thisclose> to majorly losing my shit on the kid.
The weekend was pretty good. The weather here has been amazing the last week so we have been getting out as much as possible. Saturday we went to a birthday party. A lot of kids and a lot of fun. We also got odds and ends done around the house. Sunday we took a long walk to town and picked up a few things and then went to the park. It was nice. Best of all, we had BBQ all weekend and ate ooutside. Lovely.
We are still on the weekend!! I love three day weekend We've planted our veggie plot, put flowers in the back yard, DH took Maddy to puppy school where they swam (ended up with a wet dirty dog and husband). Had both sets of parents over for dinner and today E's swing set is getting put up followed by dinner at my parents! Yup lots going on here I'm presently try to decide what cupcake cases I should get for E's birthday...yeh I know.
Good morning/afternoon!! I had a FANTASTIC weekend. It's been sunny and 70 degrees for several days now which is unheard of in Edinburgh. I wore skirts and sandals and spent the weekend outside. And caught up on laundry. And started packing for Portugal (on Thursday). I've been totally incapable of achieving anything for weeks so this all felt like a huge accomplishment. And I had ice cream every day (twice on Friday). Is still sunny today!!
We had a nice weekend up in WI. We leave tomorrow at noon. I'm sad we cut it short. DH has a interview at 4 back in Chicago. It's way hotter down there and I'm afraid we might have to break out the window air condition tomorrow night.
Im dropping him off at the interview and he's taking the EL home. No idea what we will do the rest of the day.
Morning! It is still lovely weather here and has been since last Monday really and going to continue for another while longer!! Yay!!!
Nice weekend of relaxing in the garden and my brothers, kids, parents, aunt called over yesterday for a bbq. Got a sandpit for N which she loves, though she has a bit of a snotty nose. And the 7am wakings are not appreciated... give us back our 8.30ams.... One bad thing happened - my grandmother (86) got knocked down as she was going to pay for some petrol and she has a broken ankle. She is in hospital waiting on an operation but has to see a cardiologist first... could be there for some time (though it is a very nice modern hospital...)
My weekend was nice, but now I'm certain I'm going to lose my foot.
It started hurting while I was running errands. It's the kind of hurt you get if you walk too hard and bruise your heel, except this is on the side of the heel. It is red and swollen and tender. There are no fang marks but I'm convinced H knows what bit me and he just isn't telling me.

Hello! It's not morning here any longer, but it is back in the States!
We've had a quiet weekend. Before heading out for extended periods of time, DH likes to stay close to home. He's tamed our garden/backyard and it looks quite lovely! It's a shame it'll look like crap again a few weeks after he leaves. The weather has been really nice, so LO has been keeping busy playing out back. Our garden is not very big, but interesting enough to keep an almost three year old busy!
I've been a bit sloth-like. I'm enjoying doing as little as possible since I will soon be responsible for it all.
Right now, I am lounging on the couch with the dog, with the back door open. DH and LO are out at the PX Garden Store looking at weed whackers.
Like quite a few of you I had a nice relaxing weekend too Friday I was super productive and when my husband came home we went to have a picnic dinner in the park. On Saturday we went to see a few litters of kittens to pick out a cat. We found a cute little one and ended the day celebrating that fact at a burger joint down town. Yesterday we slept in and went to Delfzijl for an outdoor festival with our friends. We spent the day sitting out in the sun with a drink, walking around the harbor, and checking out the environs. At night we had a wonderful BBQ at our friends' house. We sat outside until 11pm lounging.
We have the day off today BUT I have to rewrite a chapter of my dissertation. Hope to be able to go to the park later today. I think I am slightly hangover and terribly tired.
It's apparently a holiday, so nothing is happening even though it's Monday. Let's see, this weekend I performed housewife duties by scrubbing the bathroom tiles to rid us of mildew and did more laundry than I care to think about. I also wrote a conference paper which was like pulling teeth. It's still unfinished and stressing me out.
The FUN part of the weekend was going to a wedding on Saturday evening. The reception was in a theater. Other than the bride's obsession with pink, it was quite lovely. That they had thought of their guests was evident throughout, and I have never been served so much food at such a fancy wedding before.

This year Memorial Day in the US coincides with Pentacost in Germany, so we would have had today off no matter where we were. :-) The weekend was nice - it's really hot here, but I love this kind of weather. Yesterday my parents watched DD while DH and I went to see my brother do Autocross. While I like my brother's gf, it was nice to get a chance to talk to him without her for a bit between his runs. Otherwise they're pretty much inseperable and there I sometimes miss talking to my brother alone or playing board games with him that we both like but she doesn't.
And Cousin and her DH got into town last night. We'll be seeing them for dinner this evening then probably more tomorrow before they fly back on Wednesday.
