When your kid is invited to his/her friend's birthday party, do both parents go? What do you think of both parents going with the kid to the friend's party?
Out of the 2 parties I took DD, I've only seen one kid accompanied by both parents. Is this a no-no?

Among people I know, usually only one parent attends (and that skews toward the mom if the parent is staying, it's 60/40 in favor of mom for a drop off party). There are a couple of kids in our circles who are always accompanied by both parents but that is definitely not the norm.
This to me is key to the answer. We jsut had DS's party at a fire museum. They charge us for every person who comes - kid or adult. I REALLY didn't want both parents to come, or siblings, because it would have put us over our limit. Luckily that's how it worked out.
If we were to have the party at our house, I wouldn't care and would actually probably want both parents to come.
So.... I just think you need to take the venue into account.
