In the last week I have had the strangest thing happen 4 or 5 times. Ill be holding dd on my left side like I always do and something will push out of my abdomen on my right. It's only for a split second and no amount of prodding finds anything hard under the surface. It reminds me of being 8ish months and being able to feel and see dd's feet scoot across my stomach. Whatever this is, I have no doubt that if I was watching my stomach I'd see it when it "jumped". I know it's not the baby. It's a good 4 in above the top of my uterus. Any ideas? A hernia of some sort? It's terrifying. I almost dropped dd when it happened tonight. It really feels like an alien is pushing out of my stomach.
Possibly a hernia? They can pop in and out when you strain a certain way, cough, sneeze, etc. I would make note of the exact area and ask your OB the next time you see them. I have one which I feel sometimes but doesn't protrude, and am worried I have a new one in my belly button area where I have an old surgical incision that I need to get checked out.
I remember having a teacher in middle school who had one. He coughed a lot, and whenever he did, you could see it pop out for a minute. Same when he was picking up something heavy.
Ugh. That's what I'm afraid of. My abs are actually still totally separated from dd, but it's not popping there. I do know exactly where it is and will definitely mention it to my dr next time.
Did any weird alien larvae attach to your face, resist all attempts to remove it, then just drop off of its own accord, leaving you with a husky voice in the last few days?
My friend has a hernia from her twin pregnancy that pops out once in awhile. Hers is high up, closer to the solar plexus, and painful for her. Is yours painful, or just freaky weird?
Hernias don't usually hurt until they are really bad. And sometimes not at all.
I hope you get answers at your next appointment. Mine was diagnosed with a simple ultrasound. They made me cough and strain a few times so they could find it.
