Anyone else's kid overstimulated?

Sleep will be tough tonight. After four days of being inundated with family events, she is overstimulated and having trouble winding down. I bet we all end up in the same bed tonight.

I'm not quite sure what's going on with C but he has been a monster since Sunday. I think it's a combo of overstimulation and a Wonder Week since he's starting to babble consonants like crazy. He was up howling for two hours in the middle of the night and has been pretty much inconsolable all day when he's not on the boob. He only took about 3 20 minute naps all day, ugh.

Yes, DS screamed bloody murder before naps and bed tonight. He wanted to take all his toys to bed with him, and was just inconsolable. He also had a meltdown when I had to take him early from his nap and screamed for 30 minutes when he woke up. Yes, even toddlers have boughts of inconsolable crying when they're cranky, overstimulated, oversugared, and just want to play with their toys.

yep-it started at about noon and lasted until i put him to bed 5 minutes ago. he napped for 3 hours with 1 screamfest in the middle.

Omg yes. She has been ridiculous all night. Still wont go to bed.

Nap was so late today that he's still up now 45 min past bedtime. Ugh.

dd went to bed fine, but played in her crib talking incessantly for 45 minutes before she fell asleep.

We were up for 1.5 hrs starting at 3 am. The baby is still sleeping but my toddler was up again at 7 like usual.

DH let her take one of her new noisy books to bed.. DS thought it was play time.. DD wouldn't settle down and wanted to play with all her toys. It was rough.

Apparently overstimulation works for my kid because he actually slept a couple 3hr stretches last night. I feel depressingly well-rested

DS was played with non-stop all day, and was EXHAUSTED when I put him to bed. Made no difference in his nighttime sleep. Still up at 11, 1, and 3 like usual. Le sigh.

We had an epic 2+ hour battle last night to go to sleep. He kicked me, headbutted my jaw, knocked into my ears. It was bad. Lasted from 10:30 - 12:45AM

Then I woke him up at 9:15AM and he was all smiles. He's taking a nap right now.

DD2 hasn't been too bad, but DD1 has been a terror for the past 3 days. She hasn't napped in days and woke up at 1:30 am last night screaming. She has been a bit better today though.
