Book reccomendations?

A few months ago we discussed good lesbian non-fiction. I have tried to find that post, but can't seem to locate it. Now, that I have a Kindle, I am looking for some decent books. I have ready very few LGBT books, but thought I would give it a try. suggestions?

Have you read any of Sarah Waters' books? I love her.

I LOVE Sarah Waters.

Emma Donahue is a lesbian author, and many of her books have a lesbian/non-conforming woman character. Room is one of the best books I ever read.

Room is the one book I have read in my adult life that still haunts me. I can't see one of those sheds at Home Depot/Costco without getting nauseous.

I hear you. But, the spirit and strength of Ma was amazing. I was inspired by the creative games she came up with. And I will see things and wonder, "I wonder how Jacker Jack would react to this." Her characters were so real to me. (Maybe too real to you!)

I'll try to come up with some lighter books for you, though

Not lesbian, but Little Bee was pretty enthralling (although not light---hmmm this could be a problem in my life.) Gone Girl had me hooked. Have you read Time Traveler's Wife?
