The only book/book-related gift I got this year was a creationism/apologetics study Bible from my parents. While one more Bible on the "God shelf" never hurts, I really don't see DH or myself digging into this particular one much. They mean well...
Oh, and SIL gave me a Kindle gift card, but I have a Nook, so that will probably go to music.
Surely somebody got an awesome box set, a shiny new e-reader, a stack of gift cards... Brag about it!
I got Flight Behavior (Barbara Kingsolver), Casual Vacancy, and Matched. Last year, I got a Nook and lots of gcs for e-books, but I've since realized that I don't like e-readers at all, and I am back to paper books.
The little girl in me was very excited to receive the LHOTP limited edition color box set. I tell myself it's for my DD in a couple of years, but who am I kidding.
I got The Night Circus (I've read it but wanted to own it), The Secrets of Pistoulet: An Enchanted Fable of Food, Magic, and Love (random, but looks really interesting), and a signed copy of Theories of Everything by Brian Andreas (www.storypeople.com).
DH got a pretty nice book haul -- Building Stories, The First Four Notes, Just My Type (about fonts) and The Shakespeare Thefts. DD got good stuff too -- a Noah's Ark book, Dorrie and the Blue Witch, The Art Book for Children, Olivia and the Fairy Princesses, and Hurry and the Monarch.
I was gifted with a new nook, yay! My old one was on its way out. Also got a B&N gift card so bought myself A Tree Gows in Brooklyn, Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World by Haruki Murakami, and Broken Harbour by Tana French.

No :-(
My kids got a ton of books from Santa though ;D DD1 got several books for her Tag JR. They also got Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Llama Llama Red Pajama, Llama Llama Holiday Drama, Pajama Time, The Jellybeans and the Big Dance, Elmo's Christmas Hugs, and Elmo Loves Hugs.
NO I didn't get my request in in time AND my husband dropped the ball. I told him I wanted Gone with the Wind (I'm reading it for a BC this year) and he waited until the 23rd to shop and my BN was sold out.
However I did get two Edgar Allan Poe figures to sit on my bookshelf.

My former coworkers (I quit my job---yay! At-home mama will let you know how long this yay lasts.) got me $75 in B & N gift cards for my going-away on the 20th, so that counts as holiday haul.
My husband got me the art book for my favorite video game, Alice: Madness Returns, We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson, Splendors & Glooms by Laura Amy Schlitz, and The Far Traveler by Nancy Marie Brown.

I made out like a bandit book-wise for Christmas. Of course that's pretty much all I asked for.
For myself I got: Paper Towns by John Green, The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, Dirty Secrets by Jessie Sholl, Left Neglected by Lisa Genova, Brain on Fire by Susannah Cahalan, The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling, and Notorious Nineteen by Janet Evanovich
I also got a pile of books for my classroom (I teach preschool) including 7 of the Elephant and Piggie books which I
I also got a shirt from MH which reads "Books Make Me Happy"

I got Post-American World by Fareed Zakaria from DH, a signed copy of Leaving Atlanta by Tayari Jones from soudesafinado and the same e-book from lauriergirl through our CEP gift exchange. I exchanged the e-book for The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom, which I devoured in 3 days. I highly recommend it.

No books But my sister gave me a B&N gift card! She left it at our dad's house so I don't have it yet and I don't know how much is on it. I already have about $50 worth of books in my B&N cart to buy. I'm also trying to decide if I want to pre-order the final Sookie Stackhouse book.

DH gave me Maeve Binchy's last book, A Week in Winter. And IL's gave me $100 to spend however I saw fit, and I went wild at the bookstore. I'll post a list of everything I got later. I LOVE being back in the US with cheap books!

I got No Reservations by Anthony Bourdain. I just watched the first four seasons on Netflix before they yanked it and loved it. It was really nice because the book seemed to cover just those seasons. I think there is a second edition, too.
