I read raves about it all the time on the bump - do any of you have/use one? We've gotten a swing, so I'm wondering if a RNP is really reptition and just more clutter for the house ...
A RnP has been a necessity at my house. Maddie slept in hers because of her acid reflux. She still sleeps in it now; having a hard time going to the crib (for me more than her). It's just a great place to let her lay because she can see around and it is nice and small. We use the swing all the time too, but since it is so cumbersome, it stays in one place. The RnP I can take anywhere. I love ours!
I remember everyone talking about the RnP on the bump. I don't have one, but it seems pretty compact in comparison to many other baby gear. I say put it on your registry. If someone wants to buy it, super. If not, baby Weston will survive without it.
I had a bouncer which I think is basically the same thing. It was her bed until I transitioned her to the crib around 2.5 months. Since she hated the swaddle it kept her snug. It was better than the swing because it was portable. It afforded me long showers and I could put it near the couch, chair, in her bedroom, my bedroom. I definitely needed both.
No experience to speak of as I'm pretty sure they didn't exist 4 years ago, but I got one from a friend, and I'm pretty sure it's the piece of gear H and I are most excited to have. I would get it for its portability if nothing else.

I have a bouncer already too - because my SIL said I would want it for times I wanted to just shower, etc. and needed portability a swing wouldn't provide ... and a friend gave me theirs. I'm starting to feel overwhelmed by all the baby gear, but that's because it's all piled in one room. Hopefully when I start sorting next week it won't seem so crazy

I'm not sure if the difference between a bouncer and a rnp. I'm guessing the rnp is like a combo of a swing and bouncer? All I had was the bouncer and the swing and that was plenty. So I don't think you need bouncer and rnp, I think one or the other is good. Also, Kate's right, the clutter doesn't last long, or at least that particular clutter. Once you're done with the bouncers you'll have jumpers and walkers, then tents and cars . It's actually super fun. My house finally feels like a home.
In response to the clutter too, it folds flat so it can be stored very easily if you want to put it somewhere. Although I have never had to do that because we use it so much.

It has been a life saver in my house. Especially this time around. It's easy to move from room to room, and it's nice for them to sleep or play in. It's perfect for traveling, takes less space than a PNP. Caleb is just about grown out of it and I'm having a bit of anxiety over what I'm going to do with out it.
