The thing is you cant go in there and ask them what they think because you can't go in and not nurse because that will just make the situation escalate. When Brian has the baby and I'm "off duty" and getting ready for work she can't see me. If she does all hell breaks loose. Can you text them? Not that they should be looking at their phones when your sweet girl is crying, but maybe she's on the brink of settling.

I tried calling my mom and she didn't answer. I caved though and just went in to feed her. I think I might have to work from Starbucks next week when the nanny starts until they get their thing going on between them.
But you see... it's a helluva a lot easier for me to feed her than pump. But if I have to travel, she has to take a bottle.

I seriously can't imagine. I have a really hard time for like 1.5 minutes if Caleb doesn't calm down with someone else. How did the rest of the day go? Hopefully once the nanny and Sammy get in their groove things will be smooth and easier. It definitely might be good to go out next week so you don't have the distraction and emotional stress. Hugs mama.

So yesterday was unsuccessful with the bottle. HOWEVER, she just took the bottle for my mom. It was a small bottle and she wants more!
I just scheduled 3 pumping sessions on my outlook calendar at work for 25 min each. By law my employer has to give me a break to do it.
So happy!
After she gets her groove on the bottle, I would rather BF instead of pump, but I also want her to be able to go from the bottle to the boob with no problem.
for the brief time that I was working and pumping, my employer didn't provide a place to pump that was not a bathroom. You are very lucky to be able to pump at home! I hope everyone settles in soon.

Don't they have to by law provide a place that is not a bathroom? I know the office in San Fran does have a lactation room as I've seen several women us it with their black medela bag. Ha.

I believe that is the law; I suppose I could have used the break room for 15-25 minutes, but that would have taken away from other employees, ykwim? And I think I was an example. It has been two years and no one else has been a nursing mother working there.
I would like to have a place with a lactation room if we have another child. I do have a private office now and could easily pump in my office with the addition of a curtain to the floor-to-ceiling window (that faces a hallway).
