I'm a very beginner runner, as in ran my first 3 miles yesterday then again today. Before this I would run on and off here and there but never really committed to it.
After the recent Pittsburgh marathon and seeing so many friends/ coworkers run it, it has inspired me.
So I set out on a 3 mile run yesterday then again today. At the end of the run yesterday, my foot cramped up a bit but went away by the time I got home. However today, half way through the run, both of my feet cramped up.
Am I not wearing the right running shoes? Or what else may be the cause? And how do I prevent/treat it? TIA!

You may want to get fitted for new shoes, but you may also be jumping in too quickly. If you just ran 3 miles yesterday for the first time, your body may need a day of rest before doing another 3 miles. Start slower and shorter to avoid injury (I am currently learning this the hard way)
