Or even a good one? What did you have & would recommend? I had a Graco Snugride w/DD1 & Peg Perego with DD2 & 3. The Peg was a pain to click in/out but otherwise I liked it fine. The Snugride was so long ago I can't remember anything about it. I'm getting a snap-no-go only so no travel systems needed. Thanks
We're getting the Maxi Cosi Mico because the ratings on the Consumer Reports website are outstanding. AND it's the lightest infant seat on the market. (A bit more compact/narrow too.)
Everyone seems to have the Chicco Keyfit, but we chose the Maxi Cosi Mico and have no regrets. If anything, I've received envious comments from other moms who went Chicco or Graco. I, on the other hand, do not envy them... if that tells you anything.
We have the Britax Chaperone. For me it was between that and the Chicco. I have seen, and many others commented, that the Keyfit's shade was really small/short. I liked the longer shade on the Chaperone. Plus, it has great reviews.
We went with the Peg Perego and I have no complaints. DS outgrew it length wise by 6mos, so it wasn't like I lugged the carseat around forever. I also started to leave the carseat in the car by 4mos b/c I'm a weakling. It would have been the same thing with any other carseat on the market.

Do you have Baby Bargains? In 2008 (when I was pregnant with DD) their top pick was the Chicco Key Fit 30, so that's what we bought. We were happy with it. There may be a better one out there now, though.

i went with the britax over the chicco only because I ended up buying a britax double stroller, but they are very similar and both get great reviews and fit well in my car. For ds i had a graco that I hated. The straps always got tangled, it took up too much space in my car, and the weight limit was too low. I love the britax, but compared to the graco I would probably love just about anything.
I also go the Chicco Key fit due to eaisier base installation, front harness adjust and it was the lightest on the market weight wise when I purchased it. DS used it until he was 10 months and I was still able to carry him in it.

I was worried about the sunshade on the Keyfit, but it was never a problem. When they are itty bitty you tend to put a blanket over the whole thing anyway. On the occasions were I needed the shade in a lower spot I just undid the velcro and pulled it further down. I never had a time when that didn't work for me.
We are re-using DS's Snugride 35, and I hate the darn thing. Weighs a ton and is just so huge.....I put DD in the body of most shopping carts, and sometimes it doesn't even fit there. (I wish I could carry her but she hates it)
Everyone in my breastfeeding support class had a Chicco Keyfit. It was crazy.
