I've been having an issue with fallout. I've only recent started wearing eye makeup so I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong...
I've tried to fold up a little tissue and hold under my eyes as I do my eyeshadow to avoid it during application, but half-way thru the day I still notice fallout under my eyes.
Does anyone else have this issue? Suggestions?
I don't use traditional primer on my lid (I just use a little bit of eye brightener) so I don't know if this would help with the mid-day fallout?
I have also experimented with doing my eyes first and then going in and doing my foundation so that I can totally clean up the under eye area, but it seems like this takes me soooo much longer. Am I missing something?
Yes, use a primer. That will help it stick to your eyelids better. I personally recommend urban decay primer potion, but I've heard the too faced shadow insurance works well. I think I've heard good things about ELF too.
I also do my eyes first and face last. My eyes take the longest. Dab the shadow with the brush instead of making a sweeping motion. And just barely touch the brush to the shadow, so there isn't a ton to fall onto your face. Build the color as you go.
Ohh I never even thought that it could be a problem with my eyeshadow! Like I said, I've just started wearing makeup so I've got a variety of shadows: Mary Kay, Covergirl, and Sephora (I don't see another brand name). I got a set of Sigma brushes after a recommendation here and have been loving them.
I picked up a primer and have noticed less mid-day fallout, but I've definitely still got some shimmers going on at the end of the day.
