I know that I've gotten super frustrated with the gates that were at both mine and DH's siblings house (and yes, I may have accidently knocked them from the stairs by accident).
The puppy is getting a lot more curious about everything, so I need to start blocking him off from going upstairs (and into the nursery) but I don't want to be cursing every time I try to open the gate
Thanks for posting this. I'm curious too. Right now, we have the regular ol' wooden gate propped against the bottom of the stairs. The purpose is to keep the dogs downstairs. They're terrified of the gate for some reason & won't go anywhere near it.
It'll be time soon to put in something more stable. Sarah, I like that u can open yours with your foot.

We have 2 and both have worked great for us. We have the Munchkin Auto Close gate and the Evenflo Easy Walk Thru Gate. Honestly, I just randomly picked two at the store, but luckily they are both great. Easy to open, easy to install.
Sara, I didn't even know they made a handsfree one. That's really cool. Where I have mine, it isn't an issue, but I can see that being really helpful in certain locations!
Yeah it's good when you're carrying the baby. It's a little on the loud side though so we don't always shut it so it locks. We just keep it open into the hallway bc our dogs are too dumb to realize that they could pull it open. But It has taken a lot of abuse in a year though and it's still ticking.

We have a bunch of these. I have a love hate relationship with them, only one actually works flawlessly, the rest are extremely hard to use for our guests.
