Size of e-fund when you started TTC?

5 months. We're down to 3 months due to various reasons.

We built our e fund up from 3 to 5 months during my pregnancy.

Honestly, I don't really remember. Maybe a couple months of expenses?

It was 9.5 yrs ago but I am pretty sure it was very little (less than $3k). We started TTC the day we married (at age 27), had just bought a house & had 2 stable but not great paying jobs. I never had any money prior to marriage so bringing in $80k together seemed like we were doing great. Lol.

We had 6 months' expenses saved when we started TTC, plus a chunk in our down payment fund.

We had less than a month but were also paying off the loan we got for selling our condo. We live off of one income, so I wasn't worried about it.
