We decided to try the transition from PnP in our room to crib in E's room tonight. The plan was to transition in a few weeks, after he's settled at day care, but he's been napping in his room and seems pretty comfortable with it. Plus, this is my last week home on leave, and H doesn't work much this week (time off for holiday, plus taking an extra day to be home with me on E's longest day care transition day), so we figured this is the last week to voluntarily screw ourselves over on sleep if necessary.
Oh, and I think he may be in the middle of a three-month growth spurt. So if this fails, it will fail spectacularly!
Good luck! You have an awesome sleeper, right? He will do great.
Thanks. Yes, he's pretty good (at night) and has STTN (10+ hours) several times in the last few weeks, most recently Friday night. But then he woke at 2:30 last night, so he sometimes keeps us on our toes! Fingers crossed.
I feel a little guilty about moving him out "early" per AAP recommendations, but it makes the most sense with the upcoming changes, and waiting until the six-month mark makes me nervous because I know that's when babies can really feel separation anxiety.
