So I want to switch things up a bit in my LR and DR for winter without completely changing my color scheme of cream, brown and green. I use pops of yellow and orange for warm weather through Fall but winter has me stumped. I have some pinecones I used as a Fall tablescape and think I'm going to put a light coat of silver spraypaint and top with white to resemble snow. I've been stalking Pinterest and found lots of pretty ideas, but am unsure how to pull this off in my own home. Should I really be concerned with color scheme integrity? Is it ok to bring in a winter feel regardless of my overall color scheme? Suggestions and PIPs please! TIA.
I love both of the above suggestions. For me its all about thicker textures and dimmer lighting this time of year. I also love to pull out my crystal. Its very winter to me.
