The geniuses who dropped their dog off at my local shelter because she had a seizure and they were convinced she had rabies.

Ugh, that just breaks my heart. And isn't epilepsy usually fairly easy to control with meds?

My nomination: The guy I drove past who was attempting to merge onto the HIGHWAY I was driving on while leaving a park area (note, not a DOG park) by my work w/his 2 Labs in the bed of his pickup truck. Yes thats right, standing FREELY in the bed of his pickup truck.
Why do people do this!!!

Sounds like the genius I heard about last weekend-had his dog unsecured in the back of a pickup truck going 75mph on the freeway. Dog decided she didn't want to be in the truck anymore and jumped out Thankfully, she is fine though minus one front leg as a result.

I was told her story by her NEW dad, whose family adopted her after this happened. She now lives with a pittie and a greyhound, and loves to run

Oh.My.GOD. Thats awful!! People are SO dumb!!!
I guess the one good thing out of it is that she got a new family!

I nominate my neighbours a couple houses down... they just had the Humane Society get involved here because they couldn't seem to grasp the concept that keeping a horse tied to a tree in their front yard wasn't going to be suitable for the horse...
